Insomniac Spider-Man fans seriously are a piece of work. Love the game, can't stand the fanbase.

The Spidey Fan criticism of the MCU version is the reason Spider Man Lotus exists, and don’t get me started with Paul.

The most hilarious thing about some people's reaction to the leaks is that the haters think it's Spider-Man fans fighting back against Insomniac when I'm sure the ransomware company probably didn't even give a fuck about their games or games in general and just wanted money.

At some point the discourse around this game really went to hell. I've seen ppl unironically say "Insomniac must've leaked their stuff on purpose" which is insane & doesn't make 1 bit of sense. But good video & you provide a great voice of reason here.

Also congrats on getting a sponsor for your main channel vid. Well deserved.

4:33 *also put out a Ratch and Clank game

The fanbase being entitled is obviously true. Demanding dlc when it wasn't OFFICIALLY annouced, demanding constant updates and even going to harass the devs for skins for fucking pixels, and stating Spidey 2 was rushed. And let's talk about that last one. Saying Spidey 2 is rushed is bullshit. That game is soo dense not only with NEW New York but with side content, customization, and gameplay. I completely agree the main narrative is messy but that doesn't make game rushed? A rushed game is something I would associate something like Redfall, that was technically and conceptually broken on launch.
The fact Insomiac these asses on a daily is soo silly, and constantly being called out being uncommunicative when it's not their say 99% time to interact with fans but this still respond anywho not with their words but how they add skins people were asking for or more importantly release games CONSISTENTLY.
I think the issue now with the Insomniac community is that it's becoming very synonymous with the actual Spider-Man community, and the Spider-Man community has to be some if the pettiest out there.

Spiderman 2 may have issues but it is not insomniacs fault for you disliking the game. I personally have enjoyed every installment and although I do think the first game was the best the other 2 are good. I especially hate how that guy spent 200 euros and is mad about the game under delivering. Its a game that released I don't believe a DLC promised. I did not expect anything but I bought a game, I enjoyed the game, I got my moneys worth. I think it could have been better but you cannot be mad you spent a ton of money on a game without knowing you would like it or not. I just hate how entitled people have become especially with how content people where in the past with games having issues.

As someone who hasn’t played Spider-man 2 yet I feel like people pretending like it’s the worst game just makes it more clear to me that this Fanbase is pretty entitled and toxic I mean almost all of the spoiler-free reviews I saw said it was a good to average game and you know what I LIED I actually played one side mission at a friends house and it was pretty fun and some of the people hating on the game now used to praise it’s like a part of the fandom collectively backstabbed this game.

I will never understand the hate for Spider-Man 2. It’s not perfect but I think it was still fantastic

i didn’t love spider-man 2 but looking back at all of this, i realize a lot of people that are fans of spider-man via non-comic material lack the media literacy necessary for the character

Games are expensive but if you spend 200 bucks on a game and haven't read or watched a review first, what are you doing with your life?

While I had my own gripes pertaining to Spider-Man fans as whole since No Way Home’s Trio de Spider Man leak conspiracy leading up the first viewing being watered down slightly, the Spider-Man 2 hype-train and consequential crash-out for some valid reasons mind you, lead to the flaws being obscured to the point it was like debating a 2000s Sonic game’s validity.

Okay, bear with me. After having taught many American students, there's a strong sentiment of entitlement within them. If I pay for a game and it's bad, I feel stupid for spending money and not doing my research. I am not owed quality by spending money. if i am subbed to a Patreon and they produce bad content, then there's a relationship and expectation there of consistent output.

Applying that logic to a single product seems flawed to me. They didn't "lie to you".

I felt really dissapointed by Spider-man 2, not because its a bad game, but because it does everything the first game does, just at the same level or at times just worse. The only place where theres a clear upgrade is the swinging and overall movement, the wingsuit and 0 swing assist gives much needed depth to the kinda boring swinging that was in the first game, where you could just hold r2 down the entire game, theres an actual skill ceiling now, but the story in SM2 is just so bland and forgetable, where in the first game its a highlight, theres moments of the first game that 6 years later still sit with me, and i think about, even in SM: Miles Morales, but Spider-man 2 doesnt have any of that, the most memorable part of that game is probably fighting Sandman,  that might be the coolest mission in any of these games, but its also literally the first mission, so the rest of the game kinda feel dissapointing when you think back of how it started, and i think alot of people loved the first game not for the combat, or the mission design (although great), but because of that gripping narrative, the best spiderman story as a lot of people call it, myself included, and Spider-man 2 is just so damn forgetable on that part.

But dont get me wrong, the side missions are fun, the combat is still a blast, New York is drop dead gorgeous, even if the script isnt all that great the performances still are, Yuri is still the best spiderman, and the mission design is at a peak here. So its still a really fkn good game (8/10 for me personally) with lots of fun to be had, so i do not understand people that go out and make it seem like the worst thing to happen to gaming since the cyberpunk launch, just because a dlc that was never revealed was cancelled.

Edit: To add to your point about the "Peter crawling out of his grave in the symbiote suit" comment, it adds so many more questions, yes it would be kinda cool seeing Peter come back with the city looking like gotham because hes been gone for so long, but it also adds the question of "How do we deal with Peter Parker, whom weve held a funeral for, coming back to life, how does he go back into normal day life as Peter Parker" I dont even know how that would work, how can Peter ever come back without everyone immediatley asking questions, because they were literally at his funeral. Thats the thing about these fan rewrites, on the surface they sound really cool, but most the time they dont make any sense in practice.

r/morbius reigns supreme

14:49 how did he get the suit

I swear i dont really like Peter Parker Glazing... Also this video could've gone on for like 5 hours

How is MM a better map? It's the same map.... Sure it has snow but the geometry is the same, but with a different paint. And the 300 million budget was misused. All you got was half of a new map....

it is hard to praise the sequel if the first one is the benchmark
dont lie to yourself, Marvel`s Spider-Man 2 is still a very good game, compared to 1?not even that close

I mean i think the 200 euro guy was talking about the company. Not the workers. Don't think anything is wrong with that. But if i miss understood please, explain why i am wrong.

Spiderman fans are the most spoiled fans in general... they would rather glaze a mid film or a mid game than a great game
