IT’S BEEN 8 MONTHS I HAD GIVEN UP HOPE OF EVER SEEING THIS VIDEO 😭

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY

Opposite with Cottonwood. He was super close with his grandfather, he was one of the few people he felt really understood him, particularly with music & "you tore me up more than you know" is referencing how torn up he was when he lost him.
Also, Tyler is obsessed with trees. Mark has said that Tyler could be an arborist lol. Comparing his grandpa to a tree is a close endearment, not a reflection of a distanced or strained relationship at all.

the fact that downstairs has been in the vault for like 14 years😭everyone say THANK YOU JOSH

0:41 Justice for Scaled And Icy!

I freaking love the looking back in time through a telescope line. It's so deep and scientifically accurate. The more powerful telescope, the further back in time you can look at the creation of stars. Incredible album that made me think about my past faith experiences growing up in a big church.

OMFG NO WAY FINALLY CLIKKIES RISE ||-// never will forget hearing “entertain my faith” again

my boy troy ik theres patreon but cutting center mass outro was diabolical 😢

your reaction to downstairs is everything to me. it’s so so raw. it’s my favourite song they’ve ever made

Glad to know you saw Tyler's scream at The Game Awards, that was a legendary performance and he delivered it to an audience that was not expecting something so powerful, quite a few streamers I saw thought it was lip syncing

Dude, live version of downstairs, best video ever

The Contract is one of the most interesting songs I think they have ever made, such a crazy evolution of their sound packed into one song

30:13 The love is between him and his wife, Jenna. Blurry face and Dema cannot touch her or the music he makes for her. That's why he knows she's the real thing. Even his album cover for blurry face had 9 different pattern white dots with each dot turning red when you listen to that specific song, all but track 5 (tear in my heart) Jenna's song.

3:43 Paul meany actually explained in a video that the instrument right there in that part was actually a chopped sample of a saxophone that was pitched down to match the song

I NEVER THOUGHT HE'D POST IT 😭 OH OHH MY GOD I'M WEEPING I'M SO EXCITED, THIS ALBUM MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD TO MEEE

OMG IT’S FINALLY TIME!! I’VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG

You probably won’t see this but Paul Meany the GOAT producer actually made a TikTok about how he constructed those crisp noises after the chorus’ in City Walls

I pointed this out on tumblr when this album came out, but Routines in the Night and RAWFEAR are like twin/brother songs, particularly how the opening lines of their choruses mirror each other— “walk the layout, routines in the night” and “raw fear moves me, sounds of empty uzis” respectively

and Tally is still one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard in my life
