The fact he buys his ally merch from smaller creators rather than big, commercial businesses is a great move too. Making a difference of multiple levels.

Mad respect for David and Georgia Tennant because we need people to step up more than ever.

As a cis man, I’m proud to see other cis men like David Tennant who aren’t a fucking embarrassment every time they open their mouth about human rights.

"I need David Tennant to be my dad, this isn't funny anymore" is the REALEST thing I've ever heard.

Fun fact: doctor who is filmed near my grandmas house so I’ve met all the doctors from around 2000 onwards. He is without a doubt the nicest one I’ve met. Always had time for fans, laughed and joked with us and was just a good guy. One day I lost track of my mum and was crying. He saw, came over, asked what was wrong so I explained and he literally offered to pick me up to see if I could spot my mum. Obviously I said yes because it’s DAVID TENNANT and when I saw my mum I told him and he carried me over to her. I look back on that day in awe a lot because he could have just left me or gotten a crew member to deal with me but he took time out of his day to personally make sure I was okay

Man, as a non-binary person I am so nervous for our trans brothers and sisters in the next 4 years. We need more David Tennant energy here.

David Tenant when David landlord walks in:

As a soon to be 60yr old Trans Man having only started my transition 11yrs ago.  I still find the hate hard to manage at times.  I am glad kids have the language and knowledge to know what Nonbinary and Trans is, as well as just having a visible acronym LGBTQIA+. More love less hate. David Tenant is a great Man.

I'm 54 years old.  I grew up in a time that a lot of this nuanced words didn't exist.  I am asexual - but wasn't a word when I was growing up.  I just told people that I was "broken".  I believed I was broken.  I wasn't until recently (within the last 5 years) that I understood I wasn't broken, and I was normal, and there were others like me.  I spent most of my life believing something was wrong with me.   I now fly my asexual flag with pride.

"I don't wish ill of her, I just wish her to shut up" is such a mood. I know people like this, and I don't wish harm on them, I just wish they'd keep their thoughts inside their head.

When someone's existence is made 'political', it's not politics anymore. Fellow humans have the responsibility to speak up. We've seen what happens when they don't.

in a world where the 'bare minimum' isn't really the bare minimum, it's nice to see support from people who could easily say nothing or go the opposite direction without much critique

David Tenant is an international treasure and should be protected at all costs

Speaking of allies, last year, I found out that The Beastie Boys paid for the gender affirming surgery of Donna Lee Parsons, who produced their first two EPs. They knew she wouldn’t just accept the money, so the group claimed it was unpaid royalties they owed her. She sadly passed away from cancer a year later.

I always loved The Beastie Boys, but hearing about that just affirms my love even stronger. There are a lot of wonderful people who are here to support each other. Dark days are ahead, but there will always be love ❤

i actually realized i was nonbinary because of david tennant. i was in 8th grade and watched the very first episode of good omens for the very first time and had such insane gender envy for Crowley that i realized i couldn't possibly be a cis woman. seeing him be such a huge trans ally and good parent to his nonbinary kid is soo so healing and impactful to me <33 truly the best man

David Tennant is truly a breath of fresh air when so much of the media normalises and accepts transphobia. The man gives me hope for this world.

I remember watching shows and movies David tennant was in and wanting to be like him. And when I came out as Trans and learned he was an ally I legit just cried. He is definitely the ally we deserve
Love that man, he’s awesome!

There's a Doctor Who audiobook, with the 6th Doctor, where they said something along the lines of "it's very upsetting when someone you admire and thought you could trust ends up being a horrible person." And it was published around the time JK's comments started.

I am a Trans adult, which means I was once a Trans kid. There were no resources  in the '90s to help me understand myself, so I turned to drugs and alcohol for three decades.
