Great to see this. One of my earliest memories of watching darts and being a Barnsley lad I was properly rooting for Mexborough's Priestley.  The man is a class act, a gentleman and a great champion. As for Brissie, well looking back now he was never in that final but considering the dartitis it's a miracle he kept reaching world championship finals. Full credit to him for that, the true icon of darts and sadly missed

As a yorkshireman i was rooting for dennis and so happy he won, he was a gent. I played eric in an exhibition many years later and he too was a great guy RIP, both players from a golden era in darts.

I was lucky enough to play Dennis in an exhibition the other week! Great fella! He announced his retirement from darts completely the same night.

priestley was an animal ,think i once seen his three dart average was unreal , slow and methodical , jocky was a real character , great layers over the yrs , hate the new mob , gerwyn price , rob cross etc

Eric was a machine - dartitis is must have been horrific for him, it was a miracle he ever even reached more finals but that's how good he was.

One year at the World Matchplay in Blackpool me and my dad were sat at the same table as Priestley's son as he played a game. Can you imagine sitting next to Ronaldo's brother or whatever as Portugal play? Lol. Darts is very down to Earth in its way.

R.I.P Bruce Spendley and Eric Bristow

Based my stance and style on Priestly, only I follow through. Great player and it's hard watching Bristow suffer with the itis.

Can't believe now many finals Bristow lost as well as won.

Great stuff.

I played Priestly in Massachusetts in 92 at the Witch City Open 6 games for $10 a game. I handed over $60 but it was some of the best darts I have played. I wish I would have stuck with it, made it to top 50 in the U.S. and then had a family.  The family is the best thing that could of happen to me.

It's Now Been 35 years since Dennis the Menace shook Eric's Apple Cart to win his 1st World Championship!

Seeing Bristows  face @ 56,01 was Pure Pleasure
Watching him getting a taste of his own medicine that he dished out over the years

More than the 2020 winner received 😬

great darts match indeed, glad dennis priestley won the final as he's one of my favourites. eric bristow's been a great darts players for years but today was not his day and the best man won on the day.... congratulations mr priestley.

0:31 probably one of the funniest things I ever heard in a tournament

wow Priestley was 41 here, he looked a lot younger

felt a bit sorry for Bristow losing that badly. Dennis lives in my village and plays
darts for a local working mens club , the PETORIA WMC in south elmsall.

Eric's dartitis didn't seem too bad just slowed his throw a bit

57:51 Dennis Priestley 129 finish
1:03:43 Dennis Priestley 117 finish
1:12:12 Eric Bristow robin hood
1:20:45 Dennis Priestley 101 finish for the title
