Rarely do you see 2 athletes, at their peaks like this, going chest-to-chest.

Unreal this is 1990 yet in jan 2018 taylor was still throwing darts in a world final, 27 years later

8000 pound in 1990, 1 million pound in 2026, how times have changed

Rip wee man you gave us Scots something to cheer about you were a character great final well done Phil Taylor

How many watching this instantly think of Sid Waddell's immortal line  ; "It's Jocky at the oche" ?!?   Can't tire of watching Jocky and the old gang play.

Amazing how taylor played with all the legends of darts and 3 decades later was thumping van gerwen and the new brigade

You watch this and you just love Jocky and see Phil for the grub that he is.

Jocky Wilson the Tartan terror!
The best ever name in darts!

The time when every sport was proper and taken seriously. I love the 1980s and very early 90s. It’s when I grew up. Back then you knew the names of all the darts players, snooker players, footballers, etc. Now I haven’t got a clue. Plus we had characters in sports back then. Now it’s like robots playing.

Jockey was my idol when I played county in my 20s back in the early 80s. I used to travel up from London just to go watch him play.

Never a big taylor fan but jocky was a legend and a natural.

Thank you for uploading this. Fantastic to see the handover from the 80's greats, such as Jocky, to the one and only "Power".

used to love to watch jockey. ...

Never seen this until now. I genuinely thought the only TV Darts shown from 1989 onwards was the World Championships.

Torch was being passed here from the 'Characters' like Jockey, Eric, Big Cliff and John Lowe to Phil who moved everything on a level in 1990s.

Jockey ...old school... a real character... Taylor... a whirlwind in the making

One of my favs

Fantastic match, pride of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
