It's scary how much George looks like Sean

The final exhibit is the new scare maze for 2026 at Alton towers

Alton towers is getting better with good ride availability

Sad to see the tunnel still not working. Its been broke all season 😢  i hope it doesn't get left 😔
Great september updates. Almost scarefest 🎉

Lovely to bump into you down by the Smiler on this day and have a chat. We filmed our experience of the same day 😀 be good to compare and contrast when I get it uploaded 😀 great vlog btw.

I went to Alton Towers on Saturday and have been going for years. The recent decline is more and more noticeable each time I go.

We had complimentary tickets this time as they closed most of the rides when I went last year after it had rained and because storms were forecast. By the time they closed the rides it was sunny and they were all closed for around 90 minutes - the thunder or lightning never materialised.

I thought by going in September this time it would be quiet. Sadly I was wrong. We got on 2 rides in quick succession in the morning and thereafter all the big rides had queue times of 40/50 minutes at least. Some supposedly went up to 110 minutes. We edged our bets and went to Smiler, which was closed, but we hoped we could get to the front if it reopened. Once we got there we were told that both Smiler and Oblivion were closed because of gusts of wind. Admittedly there were occasional gusts, but it really wasn't winding and the sun was out.

They eventually reopened Smiler and then it closed again around 15/20 minutes later again. We went back after it reopened again and had bought fast pass because of the crazy queue times. Whilst in the fast pass queue it then broke down and we ended up waiting anyway.

Sadly most of the rides broke down or closed throughout the day, apart from Wickerman.

Obviously the queue times were huge because of closures on other rides, but it's also because they are admitting too many people. I really don't understand why rides should or would break on such a regular basis. If they do, then they clearly aren't fit for purpose.

I will really think twice about going again. I feel like the decline is a consequence of money grabbing, but also perhaps part of the plan, so that people buy fast pass out of frustration. It's really frustrating that these places are meant to be fun, but end up having the opposite effect. It isn't the Alton Towers that I grew up with anymore sadly.

The smiler is the best 14 inversion coaster at Alton towers

Great vlog, the whole back part of the park where David Walliams area and the old dungeons was needs bringing back to life with some big investment with a whole new themed area, new rides & a coaster needed.

I only get to visit Towers very occasionally so really enjoy these updates from the park. I remember when I visited over the summer they mentioned that the exhibition would  only run until the end of August. it was a real treat and I'm so glad they put it together. Fingers crossed it will return.

Wicker man is a very good rollercoaster

Great Vlog. Hope you do a Thorpe Park one soon again.
Have to say Thirteen is so discreet and hidden. When I went to queue up I initially thought Rita overhead was actually Thirteen.

Charlotte's braces look nice!

23:18 I can remember the tv ad for his when it first opened “Don’t Look Down” 😊

The wicker man statue is good

The Edge of the forest will also return for 2026

Unfortunately There is no construction yet on the walkthrough attraction in X sector so hopefully they will start soon and project horizon

Congo was drained last Sunday during the day. It looked like some crew members were pulling large planks out of the water which looked like part of the conveyor system for pulling the gondolas back to the station.

Yay , For Theme Park Worldwide , welcome back

Great family vlog. I really enjoyed it.

Every Vlog George Looks More Bigger and like his dad ❤❤
