Always fun to see people from other countries to travel to finland and experience our amusement parks. Perfect weather on your visit too, except the wind. And George is adorable, looked like enjoying there too😅

It’s so awesome how the designers managed to put an over 1km ride in such a small place!  Because if you really think about it linnanmäki is really small compared to like six flags! Taiga is one of my favorites with swingi, magia and ukko!

George is the cutest baby. I live close to Linnanmäki - it is a shame it's not free entry anymore. I loved to walk through quite often just to see happy people and absorb some childhood nostalgia.

It's funny that you didn't know it could be that warm (21°C) in here and that was in May. But from May to August it can be everything between 5°C to 35°C anywhere in Finland. Of course it is quite uncommon to have 5°C or 35°C but sometimes it happens :D

I had a front row ride on Taiga and after dispatch, heavy rain came out of nowhere and I was pelted in the face through the whole layout. It was an insane experience! But the coaster is brilliant. No further trains were dispatched until the rain finished so I'm glad I got my ride in!

I love the fact that the suspended circus dark ride uses the music from Monty Python’s ’Flying Circus’, very apt!

Oh man, the memories of Vuoristorata, took my kids there too. They loved it. It's a perfect "starter coaster" for a ten year old kid. The vintage rattle makes it so exciting!

There’s some really good Nordic city center parks. They all have a distinct feel or look to them too. Really smart use of space. Taiga is like the perfect ride, long, intense, smooth - what a headliner.

Thanks for visiting! I adore that smell of the old wooden coaster, it smells like childhood and summer to me. ❤ ps. The monorail is a must ride, gives you great view of the park and central Helsinki, I'm glad you didn't skip it. 😊

25:03 Before Taiga that space was occupied by a Premier water coaster and a big fun house, another permanent fun house will eventually be built (should be 2027 or '28) to replace it, it was supposed to already be built in 2021 but the pandemic messed up those plans and it's been on the backburner since. The water coaster was pretty unreliable but fun, absurdly wet because it had a wall on one side (to prevent the water from flying outside of the park since the splashdown was where Taiga's lowest point is) which then bounced any splash right back over the guests. The fun house was a bigger loss, but it was aging and a new permanent one will be good.

Also 25:35 You're right, it's a chimney for an underground heat plant that's located beneath the cliff under Taiga. It produces district heating for the neighbourhood.

The views of that park looks fantastic

I always like watching when there are povs.

The limiting factor for the speed in Vuoristorata isn't really that the breakmen can't handle it. Believe me, they can handle a lot more no problem. As someone who has been involved in the maintenance of it for a while, the wear on it is proportional to the amount of traffic and the speed of the carts. All the wooden parts basically get replaced on a schedule constantly and if you increase the speeds, the maintenance/testing becomes more costly. It's also a safety thing for the same reason. it's just smarter to operate a wooden coaster in this manner.

Linnanmäki is so awesome!! Cant wait to go there again

Taiga is truly amazing. Fun fact - the park is ran by the Children's Day Foundation, so when going there you're also supporting a non-profit. :)

Do love a good classic amusument park. Love how they pack all the rides in to a small space. Do like how all the rides interact with each other. Do agree that the Rollercoaster scenic railway at Great Yarmouth still one of the best keeps the speed nice. Shame about Dreamland Margate.

Waited for 6 years to you visit again in linnanmäki and it was well worth it.  Amazing vlog!. And Charlotte and George along vith was the cherry on the cake!

Such a nice park! The operations seem to be bit of a hit or miss, but my understanding is that in the beginning of the season they have quite a lot of new ride ops which might have contributed to the wait times. One correction though, the park is NOT free to enter anymore, but all wristbands or single ride tickets include admission!

Loving the POVs

So funny in the end, that George had caught on to the tree/branch-catching trend at Linnanmäki! 😂 He was inspired! 😂❤😂
