After years of debates, nostalgia, and replaying the classics… which old Assassin’s Creed game truly did it best?

From AC2, Brotherhood and Black Flag, to Unity, Rogue and Syndicate — I revisited the old Assassin’s Creed games to see which one actually holds up the best today. And honestly… the answer surprised me. #gaming

AC1 is so underrated, the fact that it came out in 2007 is insane, it's easily one of my favourite.

they need to make a Ezio trilogy resync

Definitely black flag for me, the ending gave me depression knowing what was going to happen to Edward’s bloodline in AC III

Unity’s visuals still look awesome

Black Flag is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Its not just a Assassins Creed game but the best Pirate game. The sense of freedom and Adventure the game gives and the amazing story. Black Flag Resynched is easily one of my most anticipated games of 2026. Edward is one of my favorite characters along side Ezio. I still listen the amazing soundtrack and sea shanties to this day. Amazing content and keep up the great work!

I still remember how stupid I felt when I heard Edward say haytham in black flag and it actually clicking that Edward was Connors grandpa. 16 yr old me absolutely gobsmacked screaming "FUCKING WHAT" and then my mum coming in because I woke her asking me to keep it down and I'm just writing the timelines out grinning from ear to ear as I drew it in perfect synchronizational order

Absolutely loved black flag, and was one of the only ones that made me actually try to enjoy the 100% grind

AC3 and AC4 are my favorite games in the series. The story in AC3 hooks you immediately and Connor is an extremely underrated character.

The music from AC2 just hits it home for me for the overall vibe of the game!

I was sitting there bouncing between brotherhood and black flag as what would be named #1. I still gotta go AC2 but I respect it.

Rogue may have extremely flawed story, but the rest of the game is sooo gooodddddd. For example, the North Atlantic has such an unqiue atmosphere and design. It genuinely feels awesome to explore it

I’m playing AC Unity right now for the first time, and HOLY SHIT, I cannot believe how incredible this game feels. It really is insanely impressive for all the reasons stated. I’m LOVING it. It’s not perfect as far as parkour, but it gets better the more you practice.

Honestly I think Rouge was the most underrated AC of all times. Ubisoft woud have gotten way less hate, if they just putted that one out for both consoles and a polished unity a year after. AC Rouge is still in my top five ACs of all time and that is saying something.

Black Flag is not only my favourite AC, it's one of the best games of all time to me, along with Far Cry 3. Ubisoft had a generational run in early to mid 2010s.

For me, AC Black Flag has always been my favorite. I'm a sucker for good pirate games. :)

My favs are definitely Unity and Syndicate. I love the twins and i found them hilarious laughed a lot playing them. And i loved london it makes sense for the streets to be wider atp they had lots more carts so they need more space
