Check out all the original redstoners in the description!

Techno not only gave credit for following a tutorial for his cottage, he even mentioned it - and updated the link - when the creator put out a fresh tutorial on it, since it was so popular.

Him explaining the door he didn’t build gives the same vibes as trying to have a book presentation about a book you didn’t read

To his credit he's right, redstone is easy if someone else has already designed it for you

Then there is Grian, who gives extensive credit for anything he uses and gets super excited if he figures out how it works.

I love how techno would just say, “I don’t know how it works i just took it from youtube”

It's so ironic how that guy has been stealing others' designs for years BUT as soon as he finally designed his own thing he was afraid it could be stolen! Like, damn dude, you really do know what you're talking about xD

“I painted the Mona Lisa identically so now I own it” ah behaviour. It’s not hard to credit people cmon dreamsmp

SO many people are not getting the entire point. "Oh, since it's not illegal, it means I should do it" is very revealing about people who think legality = morality.

The most damning thing about the Awesam dude stolen vault door is that, as a decent Redstoner, myself, you don't make something that complex and not be INTIMATELY familiar with every single aspect of it. Saying "im not sure how well i can explain how this works" is an IMMEDIATE red flag of something being stolen. The amount of time and knowledge it takes to design something extremely complex in Minecraft will make you extremely aware of exactly how every single minute detail works.

RKFWalter should be an honorary DSMP member at this point

...but without all the negative connotations that come with that LOL

Its crazy how this entire video can boil down to "Don't take credit for work you didn't do" and some people still can't understand that

I wonder how long it’ll take for redstoners to add “paper towns” to their builds. Just an extra piece of redstone here or an observer that’s “critical” but does nothing.
Then, when somebody copies the design without too much thought beyond following the tutorial, they’ll include it too and it’s easy proof they copied.

6:15 reminds me of the opposite happening with Tubbo in the QSMP when he was explaining his factory, crane, and train system to Philza. He went off for like 15 minutes excitedly  detailing every single thing and how it fit together, and would do this any time someone came over to his base. While building he'd pull up tutorials on stream, and constantly credit youtubers he got his deisgns from, and even ended up being in one of those Creator's videos. He made Mr. Beardstone a VIP and asked him questions during stream, and just. It creates a stronger community to share your sources

"How do you steal a redstone contraption?"

Mumbo Jumbo stopped makeing world downloads and showing everything off step by step because people would take his designs and not credit it.

This video unironically showed me why referring to the original author when citating in essays is a must.

This my friends, is why mapmakers create "trapstreets" which are streets that dont actually exist, that only show up on their map, but is never pointed out as fake, meaning that when it shows up on another person's map, it's easy to spot stolen work

In the words of Grian: "I am a titan of industry, I have COPIED A TUTORIAL!"

Awesamdude insisted that he built Pandora's Vault in survival.
Well, if you watch Kenadian, you'll know those were just lies.

11:50 even when in RP you can still give credit by saying “Oh yeah I got the blueprints for this amazing build from an engineer from far away, I think his name was like (enter social media username here).” And done you just gave credit without breaking too much immersion
