Just a little correction. I meant to say LN3 hasn't reached a million copies sold on Steam yet. We don't have the full sales figures. But, it's a HUGE drop in comparison to both LN1 and 2.

I think the best rat on a stick in the dlc was the room with the canvas with the black leech ooze smeared on it like paint.

They really said "Hey did you like being disappointed??"
"...You wanna be disappointed again?"

I have to admit he cooked a better ending in a day than they did in half a year and he’s right every one would’ve lost their minds if we saw the maw again in the ending

Proposed Boss Battle:  Monster Dime's light flickers when we enter the mirror world, like she saw her friends and had a brief flicker of Hope.  Light = Hope.
1.  Low's power over mirrors -> angle the lighthouse light in maybe 3-5 phases to re-ignite Monster Dime's light bulb.
2.  Monster Dime's light turns back on, she calms down, gets the correct escape mirror for us, and then she passes away.
3.  Cut to a scene IRL where one of Low's friends at the Institute leaves, and gives Low their doll (which looks like Alone). -> fade to black

It’s like describing little nightmares to someone who’s never played it before and then asking them to remake it

I rlly liked everything except the ending 😭
It was cool to see Dime again, but I think it would have been more impactful if we got a boss fight tho. And it just like, has no relation to the beginning of the game? It’s a PREQUEL! Maybe the mirror did take them to the Necropolis, but it didn’t really look like it. And there was nothing to do with their weapons either. Unfortunately you do make a lot of good points. I really hope this franchise can improve in the future.

I feel like they had the idea perfectly laid out but when they wrote it down on paper it turned into a big blob of random stuff… I have a theory that the shores is the area where you board the boat to the maw but the only evidence of that is all the papers and references to the maw and the fact there were guests there but that doesn’t matter because their like everywhere now /:

There was zero suspense in this DLC.

None.

Zilch.

Zero use of using light as a game mechanic.

Zero emotional payoff.

As George Lucas said to Bob Iger after seeing The Force Awakens, “There’s nothing new.”

It’s watered down.

This is another Dead Space 3.

I am actually glad they did not include the Maw or any LN1 characters because they would have found a way to mess that up, too.
Leave our masterpiece alone!

We need tarsier back

I'm lowkey sad for Supermassive. They had the misfortune of releasing LN3 at the same time when the Reanimal+DLCs package is unfolding, which made things worse by comparison. But they've sadly proven that underneath their usual shtick of "let's make an interactive B-movie by copying well-known horror tropes in a silly way", there's really not a large amount of creativity.

I agree with you on this. I hear many people say that they really enjoyed the maggot guy, but honestly? I think he was just okay; he wasn't very scary, he WAS gross, but he was too slow and his death sucked. And the water gimmick isn't enough for me to get past how kinda barebones the puzzles are. I think it speaks volumes that the DLC at best is only 3 hours of gameplay. They just didn't spend enough time on anything for it to be as good as it should've. In other words- they did not let it cook, they just pulled it out once it was edible.

I was so excited that this DLC’s antagonist would be the Ferryman. This is the absolute perfect setting for him, and there is no way that that idea didn’t cross the developer’s mind. I’m appalled that they chose the uninspired Leech Monster as the main enemy, as they easily could’ve expanded the Ferryman’s lore by having him control the leeches in this chapter. You could easily swap out the Leech Monster’s model with a Ferryman model and this chapter immediately becomes 10x more interesting. For crying out loud, the Leech monster wears a trench coat and carries a lantern, two of the most recognizable features of the Ferryman! It would’ve made so much sense, especially as LN3’s final section is already tied to the audiobook that Supermassive contributed to, which ends with Noone being taken by the Ferryman. This DLC had so many missed opportunities in mechanics, storytelling, and locations. I wish Supermassive would simply understand what we love about this franchise instead of trying to push their own art direction. Goodbye Little Nightmares 4

After thinking about the ending and the lack of any “people” in the shore, I’ve decided my head cannon is that this chapter takes place sometime after six left the maw- It would explain why everyone is dead and slugs are the only thing left. Dimes scene was really cool but I’m still unsatisfied and disappointed that the credits felt longer than the final chapter itself.

You know you've been desensitized to the point of no return when death doesn't even have an effect on you.

I just genuinely didn't like the "calm the monster with hand" thing that every piece of media seems to be doing.

I just hoped that the last mirror would've brought us to the Maw, and sort of connecting the tower and the maw together, as if its guiding the maw to its next location.

I think the reason low didn’t look for dime in the mirror dimension was probably because he thought she had travelled through a mirror like he does and ended up somewhere random 😭 both of them look surprised when they get to the mirror dimension so they probably didnt even understand it fully and had no idea dime was trapped there ALSO maybe the reason why the mirror is at the top of the lighthouse is because it leads directly to the dimension so it’s more important than the rest and needs to be secured. I love this dlc but its lwk so confusing

It just feels like they didn't take their time with this game. It feels hurried, there is no love put into it. I think they just made another game for the money, not for the fans. Really sad to see this happen to my favourite franchise :(

I hope theres no fourth game. Thats literally all I have to say.
