Integration and differential equations is what really made me fall in love with math thanks for the video

My probability prof once quipped to us "kids don't really learn multivariate calculus until their probability class". Decades later, I agree with his thinking more than the "standard view", which is presented in this video.

Standard view: learn all of the "pre-req" thing super good before moving on to "more advanced" things. I think this is suboptimal because divorcing the tool from what you BUILD with the tool - which is the entire POINT of the tool - a) removes all motivation for the student, and b) hides where the damn tool came from in the first place.

I've had far better results teaching a PROBLEM to be solved. We work through, and 1/2 the tools needed are DISCOVERED to be needed. That has in my experience "burned in" the thing to the students' brains much better. After that, practice doing problems and what-not goes much more smoothly.

Possibly the simplest non-trivial example: quadratic formula. I don't teach it. Rather, i teach completing the square ("hey what would we need for this to be a perfect square?") - the henscratches end result falls out of that, and then practice to achieve muscle memory goes much better.

Nice graphics for intuitive understanding, but your pdf prices are about 4x too high in my opinion.
As your product cost is nil for data and the demand is high in this area, dropping your prices would
likely vastly increase your profits...just my opinion.
A bus driver charging $100 per fair might get lucky, but one at $5 will have a steady income.
Thanks for the uploads.

I’m afraid my brain disengaged when I started using calculus in my thermodynamics class.
My brain just exploded

amazing illustration and clear explanation, loved your way of teaching

I miss you guys

Love your videos you are very brilliant because you can explain complex topics easily so we can understand ❤

Got the intuition
👏 excellent work

Awesome videos as always 🎉🎉

This is excellent.

Beautiful. Thanks.

Good explanation

Fantastic video.

You guys are great.

I'm sorry I didn't understand anything

Thank you for your insights on this.

Basically you showed how complicated everything is and I learned nothing lol but could learn it from your book…

Thanks!

Integral being a long s and standing for “sum” was something new i learned

Great video❤
