There is something very much wrong with using Rey to continue the Skywalker story. Rey has 0 connection to the Skywalkers, and her having Kylo’s babies in some “somehow Palpatine returned” plot twist does nothing to change that because HE also has nothing to do with the Skywalkers.

The fans demand a retcon. Without a retcon there is no way forward. Star Wars dies with our generation.

A guy who loves fake star wars is a super weirdo. He desperately wants an acolyte season 2.

They could have done a trilogy focused around Luke and Leia's kids (as George had originally wanted), or jumped foward to like a 100 so years after Episode VI into the future and focused around one of their future descendants like Cade Skywalker from John Ostrander's Legacy. Instead, they killed off the entire Skywalker bloodline and had the Emperor's granddaughter take the name for herself.

This is all due to the fact that the creatives at disney lucasfilm have no idea what to do, revealing  a lack of creativity, insecurity, and fear...so they have to play it safe 😂

My bucket list has "Living long enough to see Disney fall" on it for what they have done to all their IPs and the Disney brand.

We have indeed reached Apathy!

The concept of the galaxy as envisioned within sequel trilogy left it dead on the vine and is an IP killer. ... Whoever imagined the sequel trilogy imagined a dead IP into existence.

It's OVER.

Whay Skywalkers? 😂they all dead

Just as the sequel trilogy can't be a Skywalker trilogy when the main protagonist is a Palpatine, this can't be a continuation of the Skywalker saga when the Skywalkers are all dead.

It's wishful thinking for the writer of that article to think the IP will still sell if they try go anywhere else in the history of the Star Wars universe after Disney fucked up every single era they have already entered into.

1:10 Mr. Grizzey renamed him.
That guy who loves/copes fake Star Wars.
Remember he called the Mandalorian getting 1billion dollars garenteed and 2 billion if it is good.
He views the Acolyte as peak Star Wars

They destroyed everything already, but because they are incapable of creating, to make a buck, they need to prop up Star Wars's cadaver... literally.

What if the movie starfighter is bringing Lukes son to Rey’s Academy with Luke’s force ghost ready to train him and others… like a talking Grogu. Lukes son you say? yeah, what if Mara Jade had a son with Luke, which will then explain why Luke went into seclusion - to protect his son!

I want the opening scene being Luke riding into frame on the back of a space whale.

Disney is rage baiting fans at this point for money... they dont want to tell a decent story, good art is dead in media and games. Im going back to reading and composing original music.

I look forward to the youtube coverage drama, further sinking of brand and financial loss for company.

They aren't going to make the nessacary things to fix brand or replace brand then go bankrupt.

If there is such a thing as a revival of the Woolworth Diner, there will be more people excited about that opening than episode 10 of Star Wars.

As someone who saw the 1977 version in the theater as a kid, you hit the nail on the head.
