These rushed TV debates are purely TV entertainment and never allow enough time for a guest to fully articulate and defend. It's theater. I took away nothing from this. Needs 40 to 60 min and speaking time rules.

The economist was right to be conservative and sceptical but from my research, it seems that a) he was focusing on the effect on the budget, not factoring on possible economic benefits/costs and b)his scenario was actually the worst case scenario. The average case scenario is 6-12 billion, which is hefty but eminently acceptable I think.

But on the other hand, Sinn Féin are positing that it's all sunshine and roses when it comes to the possible economies of scale. Northern Ireland is a potential goldmine for the EU and the Republic but it has major structural issues that need to be resolved first.

What planet is the Irish goverment living on .What is it, that they are not saying .Do they not want, change to happen, on this island .I would say, they are in big trouble.There way and power ,is at a end ...A United Ireland is within our reach ..A way to look at it is, the problem is not the unionists .When a border poll is won .Its what comes after ...It will not be about unionists in a democracy ,and what they need. Everyone, will be the same ....From the 1920s on ,they have done nothing ..if you dont like what others are doing .Then come up with a way forward now .They the FG /FF. Cant stop the people of ireland ,and what is coming .They FF/FG . are the pipe piper ,,of a bygone, british past..shameful ...A new Ireland is for every one .And its the irish prople, that will make that happen ....A ture Irish nation for all .
