I’m happy that I’m living in Denmark. Sure the taxes are high, food, rent etc is expensive, but I honestly don’t mind paying just over half my salary to taxes. I’ve been in a situation where I had no job and was hospitalized for nearly a year battling cancer. I paid nothing for the treatment, was able to be on welfare so I didn’t lose my apartment and got 50-90% off of the very expensive medication and also being able to take a education for free. In many other countries I would have been on my own and pay an absurd amount for all of those things. I’m happy to contribute to a society who actually helps people who is going through a hard time and those who needs help.

You’re wrong about one thing: The trains in Norway are infamous for not running on time… ever since we privatized the shit!

~"What you don't pay in taxes someone else pays in low cost labour" is brilliant, Jimmy... Make more of those little concise points and flash them on the screen. Hugs to you.

Bali isn't a country on its own, it's part of Indonesia. Since nobody ever seems to bother to mention that it's attached to the largest country in Southeast Asia

The thing you forget to mention is that the UK has stopped taking care of people. I have friends that are 45 , work full time jobs and will never own a house. They can't get a doctors appointment and their streets are covered in litter and they pay extreme amounts of council tax for the honour.  So why not leave? If your country has abandoned you then why not abandon your country?

24:50 I would say stop messing everything up, first of all. Like you said, UK still paying for past mess ups. Accountability, second. If a government official has a massive mess up, they need to be held accountable

I can imagine back in the day when the The Piracy Act 1698  was passed, YouTubers and podcasters were crying about the exodus of the wealthy to Tortuga.

I love Britain. But I 100% agree. Most people don't mind paying the tax. As long as it's worth it. Health/education/public service. Aka clean and safe streets. I want to be able to own a business, home, and more. But I feel I can't do this in Britain now.

I’m sorry, you said you (the UK) spent money housing and NHSing us? That is funny because I vividly remember all the housing being sold off to foreign investors and I had to pay £650 to live in a room in a house with 6-8 different people.

I moved to the United Kingdom in 2012, twelve years ago. I started a career from scratch, I progressed—I went from nothing to becoming a supervisor. I increased my knowledge, my skills, and my salary. Everything grew exponentially, but every bit of progress—earned through sacrifice and hard work—was never enough to keep up with the ridiculous and shameful prices of rent and council tax.

Now, as the final insult, even the National Insurance Tax has increased dramatically, the government is cutting benefits for the most vulnerable, and the working class is being punished instead of rewarded for their efforts and sacrifices.

When I moved to the UK twelve years ago, I arrived with a budget of €1200. Today, twelve years later, I have £1200 in my bank account. I live with my girlfriend, and if we didn’t split the rent and bills, I would never be able to afford to live on my own—unless it was in a rented room in a dump, sharing with strangers.

This is absolutely unacceptable. We’re like hamsters running on a wheel, and the moment we stop, the floor turns to lava. At 42 years old, I’ve decided to leave this country because it’s simply no longer possible to live like this.

I did a semester abroad in Bali in 2013. After two months of living there, I got so frustrated with the inequality. It’s beyond me how someone can close their eyes to the growing problem this beautiful island has. My experience: While I was there I couldn’t justify having villa staff (especially not a cleaner who’s 8 months pregnant and earns $50/month). The maintenance guy was the cleaner’s husband. Once I knew these things I just took care of things myself and basically asked them to pretend to work whilst I’d do their jobs. We became friends and are still in touch. I went back to visit them in 2016. The husband had to stay in Bali to look after his blind mother, whilst his wife was forced to move to turkey to work as a cleaner in a hotel because the salaries in Bali won’t pay for their two kids. Meanwhile, influencers open up airbnbs everywhere, taking advantage of the low salaries just so they can have fake teeth and sell their online courses on how to be successful…. What a time to be alive

Very interesting video.
I spent a few days in Dubai passing through for work related stuff. I stayed in a hostel there £7 a night and there I got talking to some really nice People from Pakistan who were being exploited to feed their families back at home. The whole city made me feel very uncomfortable and left my mind a mess for a while after.

Privatization is where general well-being goes to die

21:00 I’m Swedish and I can tell you that the trains do NOT run on time here! They used to but they have been privatised and the rail maintenance is a mess because it’s run by the same authority that has maintenance for roads so they can’t do both at the same time.

don't worry, Wetherspoons are full of untapped, pristine gammon potential ready to make GB great again.... like in the '70s! ...wait a second!....

I'm glad that someone is pointing out Singapore's dirty little secret. They are doing the same thing as UAE by treating low waged foreign workers like slaves. FYI, these people are not allowed to roam in the central business district and touristy areas despite working in Singapore for decades. Most of them are housed in factory areas secluded from the natives.

Sadly Britain does not value her workforce. Down here in Dorset the local NHS is sacking all porters, cleaners, caterers and estate management staff - the people who keep the very fabric of NHS buildings in good repair.
You may think these are low skilled people but without them the NHS will break down.
Where these jobs have been privatised in other regions the death rate has sky rocketed because trained experienced staff such as cleaners have been replaced with temporary poorly trained agency staff.
So all those people running away to avoid tax are depriving the NHS of funding.
If they return to live here at a later date there will be no NHS.
Maybe they don't care because they assume they will be rich and can go private.
This is how our country will become third world.

Kids these days must realize: there is NO trickle down economy.
Rich ppl live in a bubble apart from middle and low class. Also rich guy still eats one meal a day. And its most likely you wont see any of his money ever in your life unless you tax the shit out of him.

Anyone who tells you to move to Dubai should not be taken seriously
