To give some credit to David Arquette, not only did he HATE the idea of being crowned WCW Champion (as a wrestling fan himself, he knew exactly how well his win would go over), he donated all of the money he made from the match to the families of Owen Hart (died of a freak in-ring accident), Droz (rendered quadriplegic from an in-ring incident), and Brian Pillman (died from an undiagnosed heart condition). He may have been a terrible champion, but he was a class act of a man.

A What Happened of Lucha Underground would be amazing. A company with so much promise and such a unique atmosphere crashed and burned so fast.

"Rock 'The Dwayne' Johnson...."
Me, half a minute later: "Hey, wait a minute."

Hotdoggin'& grandstandin' yeah! Thanks for having me on the show Matt 💚
DID YOU KNOW? We recorded the audio completely separately - I "live-reacted" to Matt's read, and he did for mine, and I mixed them together afterwards. It would've been way easier to just Skype and record, but I was wayyyy too far down the rabbit hole start over 😂
Salem the Cat voice And now you know the secrets!

Something worth mentioning is that the Fingerpoke of Doom happened on the same night as "That'll put butts in seats."  That night really was a double whammy for sinking the company.

Putting this up on May 19th. What a Kane mark.

Shout-out to Eyepatch Wolf's cameo.

Russo, the man synonymous with the term "things only got worse"

You know what's ironic.. WWE often makes fun of WCW for their mistakes, but they are making the same mistakes. There is a coda to this, as 18 years later, wrestling would return to TNT

The original Georgia wrestling TV show literally kept Ted's station afloat in the early days so he also had a sense of loyalty to it.

Bischoff: Let's spoil WWF's match by telling everyone who won. Yeah that will show them!

Ahh good times. Goooooodddd times. LOL

To quote the book The Fall of WCW; "When the business is hot, you can do no wrong. When the business is cold, you can do nothing right."

We need a TNA episode of Wha Happun?

That company is such a mess that it's unbeliavable...

I figure the New Blood/Millionaires Club storyline would've worked if they actually aligned the groups properly. The rich, out-of-touch old guard as the faces and the young, plucky up-and-comers as the heels? What the hell was that? (Some Mary Sue self-insert stuff there from all the guys with creative control, probably.) If they'd done it right, with the underdog New Blood against the tired Millionaires Club, they could've channeled people's actual frustrations with the direction of the company into a hot storyline and maybe could've even righted the ship for a while.

With the scope of this show skyrocketing so drastically, I eagerly await "Wha Happun: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics"

I don't think it can be understated how absolutely insane it is that Scott Steiner once walked down a ramp in an arena full of probably more than ten thousand screaming fans with a goddamn tiger.

WCW's stocks DRASTIC GO DOWN

It was so devastating to have both Sega and WCW (2 teams I backed) both bow out within a few months of each other.

I never really got over it, which is why it drove me to make my current content!

Bill "I'm not racist, I just put the title on a black man, that proves I didnt call him the n word" Watts

This episode has moments that feel like it has MST3K commentary....
Which actually fits the topic I suppose
