It’s insane that these games are still the best wresting games ever made

My parents were super broke we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 of us and had tv dinners every night but they found a way to get us a N64 and we had all the wrestling games. They really do bring ypu back to a different time.

1:47 Overdose was an opponent you could play? He is the one thing that most wrestlers got beat by. The ultimate endboss.

Revenge and WM 2000 were my go-to’s growing up, but I still stand by VPW2 being the greatest of them all.

AKI will always be the kings of pro wrestling video games.

The diamond cutter IS in the Japanese game. It's a normal strong grapple move you can do at any time (that way in typical DDP fashion "they'll never see it comin...BANG!"). Anyway big agree on VPW 64. like 60 additional wrestlers, edit mode, corrected movesets/unique moves, the ranking and shoot fight modes etc. VPW 64 was the first game I imported back in 1998 and it got me hooked on Japanese wrestling. Cheers for this great retrospective!

Scott Norton was a God Tier Character in the WCW games.

This dude convinced me to get the console and the AKI games.

I bought Revenge and WM2000 last week for cheap from a retro shop, No Mercy on the mail, and i just bought the N64 console from a guy in facebook in Sydney.

Back here in Queensland, cant wait for some hours of Horseman Business.

I remember pissing off my little sister using the n64 control stick to kick out of every pin...Thanks for the Nostalgia.

Didn't expect a wrestling Bio video at 4:30 in the morning here in Houston. But hey!! Merry Christmas Eve!! Hope you all have a great holiday!!

Yes yes yes WCW nWo revenge and 007 Goldeneye. I still remember trying to figure out that snow level where you had to shoot the locks. Man days before  YouTube. 😀😀😀

Loved hearing you talk about renting the console and reminiscing on simple things that we all cherish

WWF WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy were the best games imo 🎮.

Years ago during a trip to the lake, my brother went with my mom to the local Walmart. Turns out they had a video and video game rental shop inside. My brother found VPW for the N64 and brought it to the lake house. We were able to play it on the N64 without any adapters. My mind was blown! I couldn’t believe the number of wrestlers! It was incredible! Needless to say, a lot of my time at the lake was spent playing that game. I have great memories of all of the AKI N64 games. I wish they would have made an ECW one though!

I just bought a N64 just so I could play these AKI games. Timeless classics! I was literally just playing revenge a couple of hours ago 😂

Your description of your love for WCW/nWo World Tour and Goldeneye and that time in your life hit me right in the feels. Revenge too is on this list and 1080 Snowboarding. I was in high school and remember all nighters with buddies. No Stress, No Responsibilities, just amazing memories with friends (some of whom are no longer with us).

No Mercy was the video game I remember being the most excited for from my childhood. I would record Raw and Smackdown on VHS because I had to go to bed before they were over for school, and when the commercial played during the show I would rewind it and rewatch it over and over again. I got it on release day, it came out close to my birthday but after a couple of days I noticed my saves were being whiped. Sending it back and waiting for a fixed copy was absolute torture. This game was so special to me.

Keeping us well entertained this Christmas. Good man yerself

Virtual pro wrestling 2 is still my favorite game. I still run it once in awhile

Christmas 97. Got my N64 with wcw/nwo world tour. Such a great childhood memory. It was probably my most anticipated game at the time
