Yeah Matt, it's definitely time to do a "What Happun?" on Battlefield 2042. It definitively needs one.

Watching this now, it's hillarious seeing time repeat itself, even if for a different reason

I can predict the future. Mat will make another EA focused episode.

Matt: ”I don’t want to have to make another EA focused episode”

EA, not more than 5 months later: “Hold my beer”

"This meal is so unfinished, EA is trying to publish it!" - Gordon Ramsay, ca 2014

"If you dont like it, don't buy it."
V: So it is written

EA: “If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.”
Customers: Don’t buy the game at all
EA: Surprised Pikachu face

"If you don't like it, don't buy it." So refreshing to see them get what they deserve, for once.

EA: Because actually respecting our employees and fans is just a waste of time!

Time for another What Happun episode of EA's screw-ups with Battlefield 2042

You should do Other M. That would be cool to see

Oh man this so sounds eerily similar to Battlefield 2042, can't wait for that What Happened video lol

That's a spicy take on Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Can we expect a Wha Happun episode on that at some point?

I guess it never got a "It's good now" patch so the people who didn't like it and didn't buy it at launch, didn't like it and didn't buy it ever.

"Battlefield V: Wha Happun?"
<Looks at big-ass EA logo in the thumbnail>
Sounds about right.

The reason Firestorm was abandoned was because Criterion was originally the ones doing Firestorm, the same Criterion from Battlefront 2. When Firestorm was released EA most likely put Criterion somewhere else and gave Firestorm over to Dice. They pushed out the small changes Criterion had made to the map and then called it a day, right after they threw away Duo's of course to try and save the queues saying it would "come back" eventually as events, they never did.

So Dice was left with both BF5 base game, 2 other game modes AND Firestorm which was behind a paywall. A fucking disaster

“If you don’t like it, don’t buy it”
That’s the plan!

EA: if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
Me: a man after my own heart.

Y'know, you just described the KoF franchise with that Street Fighter analogy.
