Rambo meets Commando meets Predator meets Aliens meets Independence Day movies are basically what the Contra series is all about! Just put all of those movies in a blender and this is a simple explanation of Contra!

You really need to play Hard Corps: Uprising. It's considered part of the Contra series and it was made by Arc System Works.

The demo was way better than I expected. Since they knocked out a bunch of early levels on the first stage, I'm curious where they go with it.

A Contra (spin-off?) that never got enough love is HARD CORPSE: UPRISING. Played it on the 360 way back when. It was Contra in all but name AND you could also play a character with a sword.

This is the most Xbox live arcade graphics ive seen in a mordern game and i kinda like that lol

If you have the 2nd level of a gun, using overdrive will still retain one level.

Lance's VA is actually Alejandro Saab, but he and Matt Mercer do have VERY similar-sounding voices. I've heard a lot of his voice as Akihiko over my 100+ hours in Persona 3 Reload recently; otherwise I probably would have guessed Matt too.

Played the demo last week, really liked it. Way Forward are great. Being European, love that The Probotector robots are back, they’re playable in the demo.

Yeah, Steve Blum is back in the Contra series! He was in Neo Contra as well.

Contra with air dashing? Look up Hardcorps Uprising sometime.

Wayforward is just Chefs kiss when it comes to those classic titles.

I love it when Matt rattles off the names of a bunch of prolific voice actors and says "it's like an all-star cast!" That's very me coded

Ten hours of Contra content would be the dream!

This game came after Contra Mobile and Castlevania Mobile, both game are 3D remake, free to play game. And it was during the Konami pachinko time era, until they realize that 3D remake could make more profit than pachinko.

Matt, you didn't know? Steve Blum is the Morgan Freeman of video games. The man is everywhere. Scratch that, he's in more stuff than Morgan Freeman. Every video game in existence nowadays has some form of Steve Blum in it! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
