This poor 1200 was obviously stored in a wet location and has corroded. We will give it an overhaul, restore the main spindle bushing and try to repair the stuck tonearm height adjuster.

I would like to point out though that the e-clip on the arm lock is definitely there for a reason! That reason is that it stops you from completely unscrewing the tone arm when adjusting the height from the top of the deck. And the number ring that you glued on needs to be in the right place or else it won’t line up with the markings for the height. But like you said in the video, you hadn’t done it before so that’s just trial and error I suppose.
Mine are still working and are very usable although there are a few niggles I want to sort out (such a shame they’re discontinued and any spares are ludicrously priced)! So I’ll keep scouring the internet to keep them in action, because in my opinion these are the absolute GOAT and really are built like tanks and I want to keep mine going as long as possible👌
So to you and all the others giving advice on these, keep up the good work👍
