This is part one in a 2 part video showing you how to calibrate the pitch on a Technics SL MKII.
In this video I will show you how to calibrate the pitch 0 position, this should cure problems such as.
two 0 positions on the pitch fader.
Suddenly jolting out of 0 position.
No 0 position at all.

If you have a different problem consult me before doing this as this may not sort your problem and it will be a waist of time.

after quite a fair bit of rooting around, i found a solution. For anyone that has found there in no hole in the underside of the pitch fader board, simply unscrew the green board (there are 2 screws, top and bottom) and adjust the blue potentiometer from underneath instead. Thanks a million your directions were spot on. I managed to recalibrate my 1210 back to factory setting without a meter, with a little trial and error I was able to do it in 30 minutes. Thanks again.

man, your videos are so helpful you can't even imagine. i'm from jerusalem and the city's turntables were getting all fucked up, needless to say - it's very hard to find a good technician that know how to handle sl's. and then, YOUR VIDEOS. so one's again, the day is saved, thanks to.... YOU!

A massive thank you for this video. I managed to recalibrate a misaligned deck today. Mixing is now so much easier now that I no longer drop 0.5% instantly on the quartz point. You are a legend and an asset to YouTube. Cheers buddy. Guy.

Must say your videos have really helped me out! With your help I've turned my decks (which when I bought them had sat in a garage for 8-10 yrs) into something I can really be proud of. They are now powder coated red with white leds, new tonearm, and finally today just got rid of that irritating second zero. Thanks again!

This is the best method for calibrating the pitch. I watched other videos using the manufacturers settings and I still had that nasty jump.

This was so helpful, about 6 years ago I was quoted 60quid a deck to recalibrate pitch as I had speed mine up or increased the pitch range, which someone recommended but I wanted to put back. This was a technics official dealer and he said that you can never put the back to factory settings. Well that seems like bullshit now!
