I’ve followed however when putting it back together the black knurled edged ring is not connected to the brass ring, should it be ?

Please help me. When I put the record on the platter, after about 10 seconds, the record repeats. It's not the needle or the vinyl record; it's the tonearm, which seems to be stuck. This happened to me before with a Q3 turntable. What should I do? What could be the problem? Please, I'm begging you for help.

it would  be easier to use a power screw driver don't you think ?
