How do you beat a deck that guarantees an instant win?

The Battle City Tournament has barely begun, and Yugi is already facing the most dangerous deck in the game. The Rare Hunter (a servant of Marik) has defeated Joey and stolen his Red-Eyes Black Dragon. His strategy seems unbeatable: he runs three copies of every Exodia piece and uses high-defense monsters to stall until he draws the winning hand.

Fun fact, in the manga, yugi doesnt exactly finish the rare hunter off, after chain destruction, seeker just gives up because his only win condition is gone

Atem keeps saying ''Per Battle city rules'' because under Pegasus a lot of this stuff didnt exist, like you could only activate one spell card per turn, you couldnt attack directly, you could only deal battle damage through actual battle.

Its just to remind the audience that Duelist Kingdom basically had a completely different set of rules.

Imagine tribute summoning, special summoning and fusion summoning all in one turn and all you have to show for it is a 2100 attack monster. Even by early yugioh standards that is pretty bad.

I like how the chain destruction play was completely pointless since he had no way to survive Yugi destroying the Swords and would have lost that turn regardless.

Yugi pretty just only used the Chain Destruction to aura farm. That was a one-turn kill without a chance for the Rare Hunter to draw so he could have just outsped Exodia

another fun fact: In Yugioh, The Seeker didn't threaten Joey to destroy his red eyes, Yugi wanted to figure it out himself
also, the cards werent' marked with ink, they were all counterfeits
