1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp pyro powder or Tony’s.
Salt and pepper
12 oz cold beer

Hi Brant, I am no expert but I was just thinking about your comment on when you hold the rod you don’t get the bites, but in the rod rest, instant bites. I remember as a kid we used to have two bean cans connected with a piece of string through a hole in the bottom, and we could use it to talk to each other quite a distance away. Perhaps the fish can feel the vibration of you talking and moving down the line. But there’s no noise from the rod rest. I know it sounds stupid but who knows.
