Max, don't ever think that your videos are underrated....not at all, you can make a 10 hour video, and every minute would be supreme, my friend!

"Friends, don't repeat my mistakes" is one of my favorite quotes. Dont worry about that Max, I think I need a few lifetimes of engineering and woodworking before I can make any of the same 'mistakes' you make. Legend...

Max, don't ever think your videos are a waste of time.  What you create always seems wonderful.

"I try hard to make quality videos for you."  I immediately thought of the old quote from Yoda, "Do, or do not.  There is no try."  Taking that at face value, you Mr. Max, do not try.  You DO make quality videos in every aspect of the craft, with particular emphasis on originality.  Your work on this channel (and seemingly in life itself) is an absolute gem of rapidly increasing rarity and value to those of us who get to watch.  Thank you for sharing your knowledge, passion, talents, creativity, wisdom, and these precious parts of your life with us!

From a fellow woodworker in North America, the video was wonderful, enthralling, just amazing. I can not believe what you are doing with so little tools. In North America, at our  latitude, we have such a different type of forest with a mixture of just a few softwoods, but many many hardwoods. I think that we have 200 different oak species alone. We have a southern yellow pine that sometimes will become wind blown and lay on the forest floor for years with a preserved  heart wood, but typically the available useful wood - even thought the tree in total might be 2 feet or more in diameter, the unrotted heart wood would be very small but thick with preserved sap and extremely aromatic- and combustible.  In this sad time , I wish that we all were building beautiful boats in a peaceful spot in a beautiful locale as you are. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.

Another great video!  Im a wooden boat builder for my day job, a couple tricks I use that might help you: kerfing is a way to joint boards together with a saw, rather than a plane.  You gently clamp boards edges together, then saw down the uneven gap between them, it only removes wood where the boards touch, allowing you to then push the boards closer together, and you can repeat several times if needed to get a perfectly fitted joint, and can be done when you are too exhausted to do a nice job with a jointing plane.  The other tip is if you tip your plane slightly on the return stroke, your plane blade will stay sharp much longer.  There is an ancient recipe for a boat finish called "boat soap" or "boat sauce" it is just pine tar, bees wax, and linseed oil.  You heat it in a can inside of a pot of boiling water, you rub it on hot, let it dry for a bit, and it will seem like a sticky mess, but you polish it with a dry rag, and it brings the wax to the surface, leaving a nice surface that is as pretty as varnish, but it wont crack wnd trap water underneath, causing rot like varnish, and the pine tar is very rot preventative.  If you are building a wood boat in the woods, instead of in a fancy shop with a steam box, and you worry your boards will crack when you bend them, you can pour boiling water on the most extreme bend and it will help a lot.

Thanks again for making so many great videos, i like doing similar projects, and i am disabled with MS, so sometimes i feel too sick to do much, and its fun to watch someone else's projects on those days.

I'm always amazed at the projects you pull off with the tools you have out in the forest. The video quality and narration is second to none. You explain the project perfectly with just the right amount of detail. At the end of your videos I want it to continue, even after an hour long video. I can't say that about a lot videos that I've watched that were much shorter but, filled with a lot of unnecessary chatter.  Thank you for sharing!

Very inspiring and peaceful video. Top quality videography and editing. Your content speaks to nature-loving people of all backgrounds. Thank you.

My husband and I just found you here.  Perfect English!  You are not my son but I am so proud of you.  What an amazing, intelligent, soft-spoken, talented, and beautiful young gentleman.  You are such a wonderful teacher...  Thank you so much for all the time you spend sharing and making these amazing videos.  Love the accent as well... This is now my favorite YouTube channel!  Please be more careful...

Hats off!  You tell the story with the same mastery as you build things, with just enough of the soft Russian accent to make it a perfect de-stress from a hectic day in the city.

Advoko, do not ever question the quality of your videos, yours are among the best on YouTube, and the number of subscribers you have gathered are proof of that accomplishment. This video was excellent, your workmanship, commentary, and improvised solutions to problems are second to none. I'm an old man, and I admire your ethics, stamina, and ingenuity. Blessings from Montana USA.

Wonderful to see you again.  This hour spent with you was worth every second.  I am always in awe of the lengths you go to to share this beautiful content. Praying  you stay safe friend. ❤️

Max, I'm sure most of us wonder how you manage to build these projects in such a short time frame, and let us not forget you're slowing yourself right down self-filming.  I hope you find a good hiding place for this baby, and let good people make good pirogues!

You, sir, are the most innovative, creative, intelligent, and hard-working human being I've ever encountered. To be able to make a great video is wonderful. To be able to plan and execute such a complicated task in such a primitive environment BY YOURSELF is beyond belief. The fact that one man can do both, and present this project to the world in such an interesting and informative fashion defines you as completely unique. Thank you for everything you do to bring us your treasure!

"This improvised plate burns well & doesn't need to be washed"
Brilliant.
You are very knowledgeable and this was very interesting to watch. Thank you

Good to see you posting again, Max. These are strange times we live in, I'm glad to see you're doing well. I hope to see many more of your sommer projects 😊

Thank you, your videos always bring peace, relaxation, and inspiration! 👏👏👏

Man you're a talented Bushcrafter. I'm glad I found your channel. Pirogue's are one of my favorite boats. And yours is a really fine example of one. Thanks for the chainsaw mill idea as well. Please keep up the excellent work.

Legend also says, McGyver, was educated by Advoko

Max, i did not find any bushcraft video to match yours. You are very skilled, smart and very knowledgeable. Usually guys on youtube only have one attribute. In times like this with war going on you are  the real ambassador of your beautyfull country. thank you
