no hope from the word go but a lovely job

I can remember ex-UK Army Landrovers sold at auction for an average price of 2300 quid. Those were they day of the MOD not advertising the auctions properly.

It will always be the labour costs that kill these projects. They said themselves that a good example will be around 20k. Not many people would spend neally 4 times that.

I remember at work they had a land rover used by security who only drove around the factory in it. When the factory was closing many people were interested in buying the landi until they looked in the back. The whole back floor pan had rotted through .We discovered that bags of salt were put in the back during cold weather to spread on the road. It was eventually sold on e Bay.

Good one, beautiful job.

This is why, unless you have money to burn you restore a landy in your garage over 6 months of weekends then you might have made a profit of about 50p lol

If you go to any restoration firm they will always have your pants down i thought this was common knowledge

58 grand labour? 😮

Beautiful ❤

£86,000 are they serious 😂😂😂😂😂 £3200 a month labour, he had their pants down didn’t he 😮

My series 11A landrover has had a similar re build , I brought it all ready done for 17 grand about 7 years ago , yes a lot of parts had to be re placed including chassis and bulkhead but without doing this it would not have been usable.

Getting the chassis blasted just to replace it seems properly daft.  That Labour bill is astronomical.

Bangers and cash team need to shop about more they are getting ripped off

'Retirement money job'!

How can it possibly cost that much 😮

New chassis, possibly new bulkhead. Rewire, do the mechanicals, wipe down and done. Ready to drive.  Ten grand if you paid someone else, six months to DIY.  People ruin these old girls, all the history is wiped out. Daily drive my 1961 long wheel base.  It's scruffy but I dont mind scratching it on bushes

Shame for that money they didn’t research and get the details right.

spending money for fun easy and cheap chassis repair

Blimey those springs
