In the icon of sin boss, the summons do actually have different chances of spawning pinkies and spectra are common, while arch-viles are very rare (learned this from a youtuber that dives into classic doom code), also the small splash damage of the BFG 9000 if used a few times can allow you to only need one or two rockets which still repetitive at least is still a little easier.

I still think that Doom Eternal is the most fine-tuned FPS ever in terms of performance and gameplay.

crazy og doom will run on anything now because my first pc struggled , second pc (486 dx2) was fine with it

Edit: Yes, a Doom rogue-like project exists. Doom Infinite. It's not seen an update in awhile, but my understanding is that it's still being worked on.

Missing animations and monsters from Doom 64 were cut because of the limited storage space of the N64 carts at the time.

No disrespect to the author that remastered the audio on the new collection but the mod doom metal vol 5 is still superior imho which you can get through the new collection under creations

I know this Doom game technically doesn't count. But it's an actual released product. You left out Final Doom. It's two expansions. TNT Evealution, yes that's how it's spelt and The Plutonia Experiment. I'd naturally say The Master levels too as those are wads. But for one, they didn't have a physical release, and they were also later on, an expansion on Doom 2. It's a sin to exclude Final Doom from the category of Doom games.

The next two Doom games I want, are Doom through the Slipgate to revisit Quake, and Doom 2.5 old school pixel doom but with Enernal's movement and the shield and parry system from Dark Ages.

Never liked BFG edition because it changes Doom 3 for what it is. I liked SIKKMOD for Doom 3 that added a nightvision-esque vision with batteries.

Doom is probably the only game series that is consistently good. Like I would argue that there is no bad doom game. They all have things and changes the others don’t have and because of that it makes every game feel uniquely different and good. It’s crazy to me how doom of all things is the only series that has managed to do that.
