So overnight a flamingo visited Russia. Not the pink bird kind but the missile kind. It’s the FP-5, Ukraine’s new domestically manufactured cruise missile. The fact that it made it to a target 1,000km away led some in Russia to ask, if we can’t stop this thing, what chance do we stand against NATO?

The missle knows where it is because it's broad daylight and it just looks around

Some say you could land a Cessna in Red Square

hippity-hoppity, a flamingo came to visit your property.

Ukraine ought to paint them pink again just to flex.

So they essentially just strapped a jet engine on top of a 1000kg bomb, and it works! KISS in action.

Hopefully this is the Start of the summer flamingo migrating season.

That’s top engineering. It delivers more payload at longer distance with lower cost. It doesn’t need to be more advanced or expensive, it needs to make the mission

The dldo of consequences always arrives…apparently in broad daylight

It does not matter how good the Air Defense systems are once they run out of interceptors.

Sounds like they may have worked out their targeting issues.

This war now ties WW1 in duration, tomorrow it will have surpassed it.

Just read that and it resonated somehow. Donated to car for Ukraine, first money donation in this war.

1568 days of terror for the Ukrainian people, and so many more for the Crimean inhabitants - thank you Preston for everything you do, thank you Ukrainian defenders of Europe, slava! Give em hell boys!

The Tomahawk has proprietary gps-type US military satellite guidance and nap-of-the-earth terrain mapping, with advanced optical acquisition. The Flamingo uses commercial gps and mapping and an optical system 1000th of the cost of the Tomahawk’s. They are doing nearly as much with a lot less. They are proving, time and again, that innovation can be just as affective as immense spending and overwhelming numbers.

The flamingo is not slow, but it is subsonic, and not small or stealthy. The bomb in it is bigger than a 2000 lb bom, so it's no joke. That will make a mess in a factory.

Of all the war bloggers I watch and listen to, yours have consistently been one of the best and most balanced. You give accurate information, and unbiased reporting; even though you support Ukraine, you are still willing to report on its failings. Keep up the good work Preston.
