My tears fell as Professor Marandi asked about the children of Gaza. 😢

He could have focused on issues pertaining to his country but as with most Iranians, he is concerned about the people of Gaza.

Thanks to professor Marandi for the truthful and knowledgeable statement.

Super power doesn't only mean having financial and military power. Super power mean caring and helping the oppressed and vulnerable people

About time Russia and China as Superpowers are asked why they cant stop this barbarism. More leadership is being provided by besieged Iran and Yemen. The Global Majority is in awe at their bravery and would want much more from Russia and China.

I am rarely critical of Putin, but here I think he gave a very disappointing answer on Gaza. First of all, he seems squeemish about calling it what it is - a genocide. Secondly, the solution he proposes, though necessary, is a long term solution. This is an acute emergency, a disaster. There's need for a meaningful short-term, quick fix to stabilize the situation and then later implement a long-term plan(eg a Palestinian state). In the emergency room when a patient with severe anemia due to malaria or cancer, he is first given a transfusion before treatment for the root cause is initiated. Gaza is in a similar situation. We need to stop the genocide first and then address the cause.

Iran is one of the few states that properly understand, respect, and implement the Genocide Convention of 1948. Most other member states to this convention, such as my country, the Netherlands, are liable for complicity in war crimes against the Arab population and can be sued for reparations.

Putin speaks in very sober measured way , so unlike Trump who is arrogant, boastful and aggressive.

I understand powers like Russia and China are providing some level of support for the Palestinian genocide but Iran and the axis of resistance are doing far more. I am disappointed that the bigger powers do not ally on this issue and take active military action to stop this genocide once and for all.
