you see that red coiled cable? the end that is not attached to the boat should be wrapped on your wrist so if you fall in or anything, it will pull out and cut the engine so there is less chance you'll be cut into pieces by the propeller.

I'm one of those aquatic introverts that would LOVE to live in a place like this!

You forgot one point which is that as industries recede they do tend to leave behind a lot of housing that was meant for workers and shacks that are perfectly livable during the hot summer. So while the holiday homes today are palatial the original holiday makers probably came there because it was a good deal and fairly close to the city.

11:52 if you're going to be single handing a boat like that the bright red cord dangling from the motor should be attached to you. Especially if you're going to do daft things like stand up without a handhold.
Boats that are uncontrolled because the person in charge fell off tend to go round in a big circle and try to run that person over and even without that they're a hazard to others and can leave you with more swimming than you have energy for. They might even give you a nice whack on the head as you fall out in the first place. Use the dead man's switch. It's there for a reason.

The Netherlands is absolutely gorgeous 🥰🫶🏻😍 Wonderful video as always. I remember when they banned peat burning in Ireland 🇮🇪. The change in air quality was amazing, overnight it completely changed the became clear.

If you live in a city where people burn peat for cooking and heating on a large scale, the demand for fresh outdoor air makes a lot of sense. Peat was followed by coal, which is only marginally better.
