gyu's voice is so unique and he always pours all of his emotions into every song. personally prefer the prerelease 'over it' as it's more rock, but i'll truly listen to anything he sings.
when you said that it reminded you how there is still a place for simple and more emotional music, the thought I had was how people won't stop having different emotions and use music to cope with it, to relate to. Maybe simple, depressive or sad and emotional music is not that popular in general, but we all turn to it for the comfort when we need it and would keep doing so 😊
One of the most unique voices in kpop I think. This is super pretty, I'm happy to have new music from him. I'm with you, every time something Infinite related crosses my path I always have to go back and listen to them for awhile. They are truly one of the greats.
Loved this and I love Sunggyu delivery off the track always enjoyed his vocals . Both of Infinites main vocalist are so good at showing emotion in there songs but what do we expect its Infinite
the soundscape is soooo good in this album, and especially this song. there's more of an "even" feeling than a standard pop song -- less of an obvious climax, balanced emphasis on both the instruments and vocals, etc., less defined endings that feel more like transitions to the next songs -- but all the layers and the emotion in his voice bring out all this texture that's SO good on repeat listens.
sorry it's a bit word salady but i'm so happy with this new mini album.
I only know Infinite through variety shows and I always have to do a double take between Sunggyu and Eunkwang from BtoB, to me they look very similar. This was lovely!!!
ngl I was thinking yesterday where to leave a comment and tell you that Sunggyu released a new solo album, so I was really happy to see your reaction today 😁 thank you!
this new release feels like going back to old young Sunggyu and in a way it is! because the whole album can be called a band music and he worked with Kim Jongwan of Nell again after 4 or so years. I liked this colour of Sunggyu and missed it. (I don't remember if you listened to Nell or not, but Jongwan's music has distinct style to it, which you can immediately hear in the songs he gifts Sunggyu 😄 and Sunggyu sings it so well, you can help to think how his voice suits it) I personally like their "dynamic", who else became such a successful fan other than Kim Sunggyu himself! 😂
I was lurking around your page for one of his mv drops and forgot to hit the notif 😭🤦🏾♀️. It’s ok - I’m engaging.
SungKyu sounded so wounded in this song and I was reminded that the anniversary of his sister’s death was in February. I’m sure her absence is ever present as they were really close. He didn’t dedicate this song to her but I suspect he’s pulling from that recent experience.
