Bernard manning gave hundreds of thousands of pounds to children's charities with no publicity at all. He was not racist in any way. Every race got the same treatment

What a legend. My parents used to go to the embassy club in the 80s. I would always wave to Bernard when I saw him in his white American car. In 1980s Manchester this was a sight to behold and he ALWAYS waved back!

I love how he could complete switch his act for tv and was just as funny as he was in the clubs. A real British funny man hated only by the people who have allowed Britain to disappear for ever.
