He performed an inspection of the vehicles involved, the scene of the incident, and his purchase of a vehicle matching the model of Karen Read’s in order to conduct additional testing and analysis. Welcher also described the various pieces of evidence they relied on to form an opinion about whether the damage to the defendant's Lexus vehicle was consistent with a collision with the victim, John O'Keefe.
