Alternate Title:
Vicki Vale Harasses Schizophrenic Old Man For A Decade And Eventually Forces Him Into Suicide.

Honestly I think what happens with Sharp, and seeing a ghost of Hugo Strange, can be a reference to how Strange terrorized Rupert Throne in the Bronze Age comics.

The similarity of both Quincy sharp and armadeus Arkham being thrown into their own institutions is actually a genius realization

RIP to Tom Kane the man who voiced Sharp

People tend to forget Quincy sharp is an Arkham games original character that's how good of a side character sharp is especially in the first game

It's a shame the Arkham City story focuses so much on chasing the damn cure. If it focused more on investigating Protocol 10 they could have dedicated a much bigger part of the game to investigating the relationships between Rā's al Ghūl, Hugo Strange, Quincy Sharp and Jack Ryder. Deadshot could have even been incorporated to the main plot as another part of the conspiracy instead of being a disappointing side mission with a lame boss battle.

Hot take: Sharp should've been the Arkham Knight.

He's a character created for the Arkham franchise, and appears in every game before Knight. He has plenty of reason to hate Batman for ruining his reputation. Through Strange, he has access to the Lazarus Pit and Tyger supplies, meaning Strange or Ra's could've used the Pit to make him younger and train him the same way as the Tyger guards. Protocol 11 wouldn't just be a self-destruct button for Wonder Tower, but also a hypnotic suggestion that would awaken the spirit of the Arkham Knight in Sharp. He could see the Cloudburst as a way to purge the criminals from Gotham. Remember that Scarecrow's threat led to the innocent people evacuating, leaving only the criminals behind.

Hugo Strange took advantage of a mentally ill man who warned to do what he felt was necessary to protect Gotham. Quincey Sharp was a flawed man, but an ill man who didn’t deserve that.

I didn't even know that Sharp had his own issues outside of what Strange did to him.

We're getting closer to the Professor Strange video.

Warden Quincy Sharp seems like a boring forgettable background character but his story is surprisingly interesting and sad, I don’t know what other stuff he’s in but he should appear more

3:41 The irony that Sharp's description of Blackgate also applies to Arkham.

18:41 with how the excerpt in AK read, it seems more like he was pre-conditioned by Hugo to kill himself in case of imprisonment

Your video painted a sharply observable portrait. Don't cut yourself on it!

Yeah he just needed some real Help and could have turned out better but in the end gotham claimed another soul

And in the end the poor guy decided to turn himself into a human chandelier

Strange had Quincy in the palm of his end all the way to the very end

I'm actually super disappointed with Sharp, I liked the idea he was the brewing villian throughout the series - my original theory for who the Arkham Knight was (I was in hard denial about who it was prior to the release. I'm still not happy with that reveal). My theory was that it was Sharp - probably using a robot due to the body type of course, but there's enough drones in the game it slowly added for me

Sometimes i wish for there to be a 5th batman arkham game after knight, tho the fact that both strange and joker are out of comission, and ra's (depending on your choice) soon will be, along with Freeze effectivelly retiring, means that some of my favorites aren't coming back, if i was writing it, i'd, like many people, completelly ignore the events of SSKTJL and the tie-ins situated around it, this means the original deadshot and mad hatter are back on the map, as for what comics would be a good basis, i'm thinking mixing No Man's Land and Batman Incorporated, for those who only played the games, a very basic summary of the former is that Gotham is in such a bad state that it gets kicked out of the united states and rendered effectivelly lawless, and batman isn't there to help, and sensing this opportunity, Bane dresses up as batman since it's the only thing the other villains fear, and goes on to beat everyone else only for Batman himself to return and put Bane in his place, for the Arkham series, while i love bane in general, i don't want to retcon the story about him ditching venom and going back to santa prisca to make his home better, so instead, i say Prometheus should be the fake batman, as for Batman Incorporated, it's basically Bruce Wayne publicly supporting Batman as a benefactor, but for the game, it'd basically be a way for Bruce Wayne to continue being Batman after Knight, and because i wouldn't be able to help myself if i was actually writing the game, i'd find a way to shoehorn Damian Wayne and Cassandra Cain into the story, and leave Duke Thomas in the comics like usual.

I mean, even though Sharp was just shifting the blame onto Blackgate for mostly political game, he doesn’t have a point that that prison kind of failed its job on the most fundamental level.

Between Arkham origins, Arkham origins Blackgate, and Arkham shadow the prison has undergone 4 riots within a six months in universe.

And even 10 years later with Arkham asylum, it seems joker was able to have Blackgate burned to the ground, relatively easily implying that they didn’t improve during that decade at all
