This man is a total legend! My childhood hero! He should have been chosen to light the Olympic torch! Best All rounder Britain Ever produced!!

Astonishing to think that Daley's Long Jump of 8.01m would have placed him 5th in the individual event at these Olympics. Unbelievable talent for a Decathlete.

The amount of attention Seb Coes sporting achievements receive in comparison to Daley is laughable. Daley was the supreme athlete. Incredible.

I used to play this on ZX Spectrum. Graphics look better than I remember.

Awesome - the word was invented for this man. Absolute disgrace he wasn't chosen to light the torch and he should have been knighted. So much more deserving than a lot of the others who have been knighted since. I love watching these vids.

Greatest Decathlete of all time without question. Charismatic too.

How the hell is this guy not Sir Daley Thomson yet? It's a bloody disgrace.

Legend - one of the first athletes I remember my dad telling me about as a kid. Great competitor.

Without a shadow of doubt daly is and will always be the greatest  Sports person we’ve produced. Fact

Met D.T. a few times when i was competing . Down to earth great guy!

I WATCHED IT BACK THEN,IT WAS GREAT.

Daley was my childhood hero.  I adored him.
David Coleman "10.45 is good".........bit of an understatement!!!!!!!!!  An awesome athelete.

I see someone has 'disliked' this video.........It's an easy guess that its you Jurgen Hingsen.

Daley is not famous in the U.S. and he should be. What a fantastic athlete he was.

I got to meet Daley briefly through my old track coach Marty Krulee.

Sir Daley was a machine!

one of the best athletes we've ever had. loved it when he whistled and scratched his arse when the national came on.

...a legend...ran track because of Daley's influence, cartridge injuries stopped me progressing❤🇬🇧❤

Daley Thompson was a world-class decathlete, but he was particularly talented in sprints, and his speed was such that he ran the first leg of the British 4x100 meter relay team.

He was bloody brilliant. Lovely to see him on celebrity big brother..he still looks young..very good looking talented man

daley thompson u r my hero i love u soo much......... i really want 2 see u face 2 face...........
