CinemaSins have fooled thousands of people into thinking that snarky reddit level observations are a genuine form of criticism

For the sin about the Asylum's sign having a sub-sign to warn of escaped patients, one should note that real jails and prisons have these signs on the nearby roads as well because; yeah, people escape every now and again. Having the sign doesn't actually indicate a high escape ratio, it indicates that the states learned their lesson from stories in previous generations of criminals escaping through various means and using the fake story of being a hitchhiker to enlist unwitting motorists into helping them get further away from the holding facility.

The damage CinemaSins has made to humour, content creation and overall mentality on media is genuinely so awful 😭

"How is Harley smart enough to....?"

SHE HAS A MEDICAL DEGREE. SHE'S A FORMER PSYCHIATRIST.
AND HAS WORKED WITH/AS A PROFESSIONAL SUPERVILLAIN FOR LIKE A DECADE.
HARLEY IS SMART

I feel like half these sins is "I don't understand this so it gets sinned" and the other half is "I like this thing but I run a sines channel so ding"

RIP Arleen Sorkin and Kevin Conroy. They are THE voices for Harley Quinn and Batman and I am saddened they both are not longer with us.

12:53 The chances are, knowing the inmates in Arkham, the staff wouldn't want their names being known by said inmates, deciding to let the inmates know what their job is.

On top of the part about the "Hitchhiker's may be escaping patients part" that's actually true, prisons and mental institutions literally have those signs, doesn't mean they have bad security, just chances of that happening

They have those "Hitchhikers may be escaping inmates" signs near every real life prison in America, how is that a sin?

“Is this a Batman game or a horror game?” “YES”
Bro I couldn’t agree more

I always rationalized this as Batman talking to himself in his head, like his conscious. It'd be pretty stupid to vocalize all these things in a situation like that where anyone could be listening. It also makes sense in why he points out obvious things. They're not general statements, they're footnotes he's giving himself.

Also there are no name tags on the doctors uniforms because if the patients knew their names it would put them in more danger than just working in the asylum and would give the patients a name to hunt down.

I will always be surprised by people mocking the Arkham chime, hell, it's literally my ring tone, it is so satisfying to hear

1:01 prisons in real life have these signs, it’s not due to a lack of security, it’s due to the fact that regardless of prison conditions they still need to warn people of the possibility otherwise somehow someway the state could have a lawsuit on its hands.

44:42 The MOST annoying thing to me about this sin is that people seem to keep forgetting...Harley has a PhD. She's not a TOTAL idiot.

An hour of a hero defending the Arkham games from slander? Sign me up!

1:05:21 I can't believe he never once read that line back to himself and realised that it made him sound like a grotesque unempathetic psychopath.

18:00 there’s a trophy directly above his head and I’m willing to bet money that he didn’t find it

About the fact that the doctor's tag only says "doctor": beside being an easy way to reuse an asset for multiple characters, it is in canon a great way for the inmates to not know your name. In real life, it is advised to not put your full name on your "name tag" if you work in the medical field, so the patients won't be able to find you on social media, etc. Here, in Arkham, it would also allowed the doctors to reveal their name and exact profession only when they want to and to who they need to. Not every inmate has to know their last name, only the ones they are working with.

It always annoys me when people defend cinemasins type videos with excuses like "its just satire and its supposed to be funny"when if its supposed to be funny then they are definitely failing at it.
