Apparently it's also my channel's birthday today. Who'da thunk it?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

“Why game be so dramatic over Alfred’s death when we know he survives this?”

Batman Doesn’t Know that!

Fun fact: Before joker kills electrocutioner he uses 4 of the 6 shots in his revolver, and uses the other 2 to kill his goons next to batman after they fall, so when he's pointing the gun at batman he's actually just bluffing

Also I think it's explained in Arkham Knight why he gave the GCPD the shock gloves. They were technically evidence, plus anyone capable could track the signal to find him the same way he tracked electrocutioner.

Actually an Alfred game wouldn’t be so bad, nothing big just a small 15 dollar vr game where you make antidotes and food for Batman, I think that would be pretty cool

"That's just because I respect the arkham series more that their feelings"

What a Chad

14:35 You forgot another sin : He said " How did Bane figure out who Batman is " even though the game explained it .

15:05
Red Hood: Kill two so it goes down!
Batman: that’s not how you’re supposed to play the game...

I think my biggest problem with the whole "Gordon should know Batman better by now" is that they JUST had their first extended conversation at most, a couple of hours ago. They had never interacted prior to this game, and it all takes place over one day. They had their first conversation on the bridge, where Batman immediately flew off to help Alfred, and then a couple of hours later, Gordon sees Batman presumably murder Bane. This is only his third overall interaction, and two of the the three times he's 'met' with Batman he was committing a crime in Gordon's eyes (Breaking and Entering at the Police Station and Murder.)

So no, Gordon should NOT know Batman well enough at this point to know he wouldn't murder Bane and instead made it look like he did.

14:38 this sin also makes no sense because they actively show us the recordings of batman and Bruce Wayne that bane has where they both say "you just ran out of time" in the same way, thus helping him put the pieces together. Lest we forget, bane is smart AF at this point in the continuity so it's 100% believable. Hell, clownpuncher goes over this with the next sin video, idk how the first guy missed this.

Edit: 40:52 is why characters propose the opening of arkham asylum, why is this a sin? It's a setup to the premise of technically the rest of the series.

"people do go out and they get MURDERED"

This spectacular line made me laugh uncontrollably for like 5 minutes

23:33 This, but also Electrocutioner does have something mildly interesting for the themes. He's relatively green and has some fancy gadgets that he thinks makes him stronger than everyone else, but he's in over his head and his hubris gets him killed. This parallels Batman's character arc in this game, being a relatively green vigilante who thinks he's unstoppable due to his gadgets, a mistake that almost costs him his closest companion as well as his own life. Batman learns humility in time to save himself while Electrocutioner doesn't. Also, it's interesting to compare the scene where Electrocutioner taunts Batman and he just instantly bodies him to the scene where Batman hides in the elevator to get the jump on Bane and gets instantly grabbed and slammed into the floor.

I do wanna mention, in Arkham knight, you actually CAN see the Electricutioner's gloves in a display case.
So Batman only just gave them to the Police.

To be honest with the copperhead thing. If she did keep him fighting or physically exerting himself longer it would have killed him. The more he moves, the more oxygen is exhaled, leading the neurotoxin to flow through his system much faster.

Arkham Origins is precious and should be protected at all cost.

19:33 The real reason as to how the death penalty can exist in gotham and also not have batman's villains get executed is because they are all considered legally insane which means that they can't get legally executed and will instead most probably rot in a mental institute till they die. This is why Calendar man is almost gassed as he's not considered legally insane as is evident by his presence in blackgate instead of one of the mental asylums in New Jersey. The part about the death penalty not being legal in jersey anymore however doesn't make any sense other than that the game might take place before 2007 which would also make sense as to why he's not executed again between origins and city

The idea of Bryan Bloom and Troy Baker talking to each other and doing the whole Spider-Man pointing at each other skit but with Black Mask is funny to me

Regarding Dartigan sinning Batman not killing Joker (sin 81), Linkara makes a good point on why Batman never kills: he's trying to be better then the lunatics he fights. He needs people to trust him to be a symbol. The instant he kills, that's permanently ruined, because how can the people of Gotham trust he won't do it again? I know you brought this up earlier with the "if you kill a killer, the number of killers stays the same", I just wanted to elaborate.

Just want to note also that Roger Craig Smith doesn't play chris is this version of resident evil, here is shown the HD remaster of the first game, where chris is voiced by Joe Whyte; Roger voices chris in resident evil 5, 6 and a couple spin offs, making this reference completely pointless. That deserves a few more sins

The Alfred death scene was so convincing to me the first time I played it that I legitimately thought he died for real for a few seconds. I just rationalized that the Alfred we talked to from City was an A.I. that Bruce designed in his honor.
