I consider this the greatest debut album of all time.

Foreplay/Longtime you won't regret it. That whole album was hot.

Nothing is more nostalgic to me than 70's rock. I was 15 when this album came out. This album was played at every good party. Those were the days.

Spent many hot summer nights at the river drinking and dancing to this group.

Scholz and Delp spent a LOT of time working on these songs together. This album has some of the best production ever done for a rock and roll album. Brad recorded melodies, harmonies, and lots of overdubs. Every guitar is double tracked to make it sound thick and substantial. The whole album is brilliant. 4:56

If ever there were a quintessential, perfect rock song, this is it.

Brad not only has the best voice but that mustache is epic.

He makes it look effortless, WHILE playing a twelve string guitar!

@SoundLevel11481 2 weeks ago

In this tune, I love how the high-note he holds morphs into a guitar string note...

Push play and walk away! The entire album is a classic.

When you hide in music it is a space as well as a feeling. It’s a dimension.

Back when you bought an album and all the songs were bangers! Keep cooking sir!

Not only did Tom Scholz record the entire debut album (except one song) in his basement, but he built most of Boston's electronics and amplifiers from scratch by himself. He currently holds over 30 U.S. Patents, most for electronics. One thing he designed is the "Rockman" guitar effect. It's a "compression" type effect that gives Boston that heavy, unique guitar sound no one else has.
