To Jesse's comment at 34:10, I do in fact know a 19 year old who is excited for WoW Forever. I used to hear him in the background of his dad's mic back in Burning Crusade when he was like 3, and now he's playing Classic.

PINT INTENSIFIES

Being there that intro was fucking awkward. The energy was off in the room until the HOTS announcement

Ana the realm engineer was a Gladiator pvp player back in the day, playing with Xaryu.

55:31 you lot remember Command & Conquer Renegade?
Because that's what you described a while ago on the pod.

@JaktGaming 2 weeks ago

Ana nerding out about server engineering was the best part!

High elves and Forsaken elves would have been so perfect, especially tied to new Warcraft 3 expansion. Wouldn't even have needed new starting zones.

Horizontal progression is a big talking point in table top roleplaying, and specifically the level progression of titles like Dungeons & Dragons, how the more interesting and fun stories are told with in a set spectrum of say level 3 to level 14 or even more narrov like 5-10, and how you extend the story and game play while sticking through that level progression but still progress characters, though in alternative ways, prolonging the content and development of the characters and the story with in that level bracket (using milestones instead of experience points progression).

I feel like this is this sort of magic in the air these days when it comes to game announcements from conventions. Maybe it’s always been that way and I just never noticed until now, but hey, it seems like the general vibe around Forever is pretty positive. I’m not expecting it to be perfect, or even necessarily loving everything about it, but I feel like it would benefitial to learn more about it if I am genuinely considering trying it - even if just to sate my curiosity. Plus I just love seeing the four of you guys together talking MMOs. Is just a nice feel good way to spend an afternoon.

Dungeons, Supports, Trusts, bozja would be the alternatives to leveling in FATEs. <3

Teasing about how long it took to hear about Forever at blizzcon, to then wait over an hour in to talk about it is chefs kiss

You guys talking about Blizzard needing to have a Dev as the face of each game, like how Kaplan and Brode were in the past, makes me think of how Warframe made Rebecca Ford the face of their game, and she was generally so loved that when Steve Sinclair, the OG director and mastermind behind the game, stepped down and named her the new Director, the community was actually relieved.

Cant believe I am seriously thinking of returning to wow

I am genuinely excited to have a almost fresh experience

Blizzard’s business model has always been straight out of Rome’s playbook. Create very little, polish and produce know quantities better than their creator.

It would be awesome in Forever if they put hidden little Easter eggs around the world in out of bounds / areas very hard or not expected to ever reach just to imitate all the times in the past people would stumble across them, like the smiley face under kara.
