I love the lights. A scale RC need to have lights😊

Looks good, I went with RCvoodoo inner fenders , it gave me a mounting point for winch controller and protect wiring for lights etc .  He also includes inside door panels for around windows for a finished look

Much as I love the detail in this model, there are some details that need improvement for scale. The front bumper on the FJ40 is further out from the grill than on the model, the frame rails extend out more on the fullscale. This makes winch mounting a bit more difficult on the model. An 8000 pound Warn winch has a lot of space to fit without being jammed against the grill. The FJ40 was designed to use a power take off winch from the transfer case so there was room for the gear box at the winch where the PTO shaft connected. This scale detail of slightly shortened frame rails makes the front spring shackles too far back when installing the optional leaf springs. I owned a 1976 FJ40 for eight years. All this said, the model is outstanding and has a lot of potential for scale customization.

I went a simmilar path with my FJ40, swapped the receiver and transmitter tot myRadiolink RC6GS V3, swapped the motor and ESC for a fusion SE 1800KV, installed leaf springs and a winch on een custom 3d-printed plate, added lights in the rear.
I kept the stock servo.

After looking at this video I changed the settings in the radio - I used the D-button set up as LK-D. I changed it tot SWD.

A tip regarding the cruise control settings on the RC6GS - I use the SWA button to turn it on/off and the VR button to adjust the speed when it's on. Crawler Canyon has a video on it.

Where did you buy the controler lights?

Hello, you're giving some really good tips. But which cable did you use specifically for the winch? And most importantly, how did you connect it? We all use the stock remote control. Can you describe how you connected the winch cable? Sorry, hardly anyone in the forums seems to be able to help with this either. Greetings from Germany, Norbert

Did you ever get your inner fenders?  Just discovered your video series on the FJ40.  I do make 3D printed inner fenders that fit perfectly in place.

Where did you buy the tires?🙂

Jealous of your skills. Love to put some back lights on mine, but....
Where'd you get the little Land Cruiser badges above the front fenders?
