Head over to Mr. Beat's Channel and Congratulate him on hitting a MILLION subscribers today!!!  https://www.youtube.com/@iammrbeat

Thank you so much Chris! Well shoot, you're about to hit half a million yourself!

The way this reaction series is going, the next reaction will be: "Top ten low level government employees in US history"

I like how, unlike most reaction YouTubers, your reactions to videos add something to the table. It feels like 2 videos in one in terms of knowledge.

Mr terry is at 418k

VTH is at 424k

Mr beat is at 1M

Congratulations it all three of you

I remember a joke in 1980. Flip a coin. If it comes up heads, vote for Carter. If tails, Reagan. If it lands on its side, vote for Anderson.

VTH (in a Texan accent) "Now we're gonna look under the hood of this car and see what the problem is."
Me "You should speak in a Texan accent more often"

A great day when you can hear vlogging through history and Mr. Beat.

We should bring back the way candidates acted like they didn’t even want the presidency

I was surprised I was not a subscriber to Mr Beat yet when I looked.  I am now.  Thank you for always shining light on other YouTubers from small to big channels.
BTW he’s at a million now :)

I’ve been getting political text messages for the 2024 election since Oct 2023.

We need another Garfield.

Props to Mr Beat. Dude makes great content and definitely deserves all the praise

I’m a professional political consultant and party committee member in PA. Almost all of us on both sides wish that our elections were shorter and more like a British timeline where you have 6 weeks to campaign. It’s hard to get volunteers to help for 2 or 3 months (depends if your state has mail in voting). It’s a long and exhausting campaign and then primaries start everything over again by mid January. Money is another huge problem citizens United was totally wrong and a lot of the people on both sides agree with that too.

The world needs more of VTH and Mr. Beat discussing Presidents and elections. You guys should do your lists of the most interesting presidential elections in history.

I was recently reading an article on Harvard and the Fugitive Slave Act, which talked about some very notable people from that area, such as Charles Sumner, Daniel Webster, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. The article was mostly about the pro-slavery vs anti-slavery sentiment among people at the school and how the law had an effect on Harvard's attempt to remain neutral on that specific issue. Anyway it mentioned that in the election of 1852, Webster had hoped to become president despite his declining health and old age (he would've been 71 upon inauguration), so he had aspirations to become president just not in 1836 when he was nominated and unfortunately as most people probably know he died around 2 weeks before the election of 1852.

Perot was my first election (I was 19 years old in 1992.) I voted for him twice (1992 & 1996) and even spoke at a rally in the Midwest representing "College students for Perot".

I had to look it up: Winfield Scott, 1852 Presidential candidate was the namesake for Martin Van Buren's son.  The General and the elder Van Buren were close friends.  So cool!

31:29 he looks like Grant and Rutherford at the same time lol

Would love to see a video on:

Most underrated/ under appreciated Presidents

And a video on Presidents that deserve a movie based around them

Chris never ceases to amazing me with his encyclopedic knowledge and amazing recall. just churning off presidents who were secretaries of state like that was crazy to me. my memory is so shoddy that even the things I'm most passionate about I wouldn't be able to do that with. heck, I'd take longer to list off my cousins and I only have 3 lol
