The Miracle of Holy Fire is translated as the Miracle of Holy Light in Greek. Before it is a fire, it is first a light. The light of Christ is the miracle. The fire is just an effect.

All I want is to be with Jesus. He is the only hope I have in this fallen world. God bless anyone reading this!

The great dignity of the Patriarch of Jerusalem, the great Christian Lord. Jerusalem is the most beautiful Christian place on earth, and the place of every faith.

I saw a blue light one time and that's when I knew that Jesus and everything the Bible says about him is true

I confess that I am weak in my faith but God never leaves my soul. The miracle of the Holy Light manifest’s itself at the tomb of Jesus Christ when the patriarch receives it but the unseen miracle is that the true light of the Holy Spirit never leaves us all year round just like the presence of God never leaves the Holy tomb of Christ.

I am an Orthodox Christian but have never been to the Holy Fire ceremony in Jerusalem-and now I am nearing 70. Just once before I pass, I would love to see this ceremony on site!

Thank you for putting this on. I'm a Catholic, but am to become Orthodox. I'm so touched by this. Can't believe I never heard of this. It's a shame that I've been Catholic all my life and never heard of this happening. God bless you!!

The studies (by mainly atheist physicists btw) of the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium show that the image was made by a short burst of an immense amount of energy coming out of the crucified man who was wrapped in it. I wonder if they would consider this blue light as being that source of energy.

Rev 13:11
“And I saw another beast rising out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.”
13:12
“And he exercised all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and he caused the earth and those dwelling on it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
13:13 (for context, repeated)
“And he performed great signs, so that he also caused fire to come down from heaven upon the earth in the sight of men.”

“The two men wrapped the body in a linen cloth, together with the spices, which was how the Jewish people buried their dead. In the place where Jesus had been nailed to a cross, there was a garden with a tomb that had never been used. The tomb was nearby, and since it was the time to prepare for the Sabbath, they were in a hurry to put Jesus' body there.”
