This doesn’t even mention the fact that Starbucks is supposed to be getting boycotted for them suing their Union for being pro-Palestine. To break a boycott line for a slightly diff color cup adds to the dystopian for me.

the worst part apart those cups is when someone has them in class, drops it, and the entire room goes up in flames

The Stanley cup craze is just such an insane and comical portrayal of consumerism it feels like it's satire but it isn't.

it’s so fucking dystopian to see something meant to be reusable become a COLLECTIBLE to people.

i have always been weirded out by people who unnecessarily collect reusable things- like isn’t the point to not over-consume/create waste?!?!?!

The funniest part of this, to me, is that it's the most generic looking cup ever. "knockoff Stanley cups" are just cups with a handle

Can you imagine not being chronically online and going to target during that Stanley cup craze? You'd think zombie movies are starting

if anyone was wondering, at 4:03, there are 37 stanleys, and each one is abt 50$, so thats about 1,850$. ON CUPS.

Thank you for explaining Stanley cups to me. I thought a woman stole sixty hockey trophies and the cops found them in her car. Now I understand why they were all small and different colors.

I honestly wish I was joking; I've been confused as fuck all day.

Stanley cups were actually designed for construction, as it held a lot of water and kept it cool. After the whole craze started, construction workers couldn’t buy the cup because they were in such high demand and had to search for an alternative :(

Literally had a girl in my class on the verge of tears, telling her story about how she couldn't get the limited edition Stanley Cup, or something like that. Guess these are the new hydro flasks.

My sister has four already, craziest part is that as a punishment one day she didn’t get her phone taken away, BUT her Stanley’s taken away??? I’ve had my games taken away, tv taken, phone taken, and her punishment is not being able too use cups???

The guilt that owning a stanley cup gives me is wild man. My family gifted me a stanley cup in my favorite color after my 50/fifty water bottle had been stolen. I used it before the stanley craze really came to be.  Now I can’t walk into school without random girls pointing out I own a stanley and people stereotyping me to be a young girl with their stanley cup harassing sephora employees for drunk elephant products. For that reason I went to my moms and asked to use one of her insulated water bottles. I’m not getting rid of my stanley because it would break the purpose of being a reusable cup but i’m going to put it to rest till this whole stanley cup thing dies down.

I like to call this phenomenon a “Stanley Parable.”

also defeats the whole purpose of reusable cups in terms of sustainability if people buy 20+

“I heard two girls only need one cup” my smile faded so quickly 😭☠️☠️

It's like Hydroflasks all over again 😂

My mom has been deeply amused by the Stanley and Carhartt trends. They’ve been around forever and have been kind of working class, reliable brands that have suddenly gotten super popular.
She pulled out my dad’s old Stanley thermos that he used to take hunting and brought it to work with her. All the younger people at her job were going out of their minds about her “vintage Stanley” 😂

They banned Stanley’s at my school because two girls got in a fight and one beat the other in the head with her Stanley cup and it caused like actual damage 😭😭😭
