Another thing about this "unschooling" "method" is that it caps their childs potential to that of the parent. Which is obviously not very high.

They are telling their children “you don’t need anyone else but me” “you don’t need friends” and that is actually kinda sick..

"The kid decides what they want to learn" hey y'know I literally never would have thought to ask what an atom was before a teacher taught me what atoms were lol

I’m not kidding I thought the word egg was two music notes and a shield in that book.

The kid is going to be the: "My name is Jared, I'm 19 and I never learned how to fucking read"☠️

They're trying so hard to justify their laziness and child neglect, it's scary

Responding to a child's curiosity is....THAT'S JUST PARENTING. you're supposed to do that anyways 😂😂😂

I don't trust anyone with a forehead tattoo

So unschooling is pretty much child neglect but with internet validation.

>Too busy shilling a MLM scheme to check kid's homework.
>Take them out if the school to be the sole person responsible for their education.

10/10 logic.

"you wanna pick the lowest price."
"You have not taught me numbers mom."

Unschooling is the final boss of the anti-intellectual movement

Every day my son reads clock hands wrong, I take a bite out of him because that's just the nature of chronological time

The fact that she couldnt even be bothered to sign a piece of paper shows how much she actually cares about her children. This is really sad and I feel so sorry for the kids

13:32 What I realized is that another pitfall of “all you need is your parents” is that children don’t get to learn what it’s like to connect with people on the basis of shared interests. I was homeschooled my entire life up until college and I was never really around people who had similar interests or beliefs. It wasn’t until last year at the age of 20 that I had the opportunity to do so irl. It’s always awkward for me to open up about interests because I’ve only ever been around judgmental people, parents included. But now I’m learning how to thanks to some friends from work who share a lot of mutual interests. It still feels awkward fangirling over things that I like with other people, but I feel robbed of having that experience sooner in my life, because if I had that experience as a kid I fear I’d be a much happier person

The fact that there are illiterate adults proves that reading and writing is not an innate skill, and it needs to be taught

The fact that these parents think that other parents with traditionally-schooled kids AREN'T ALSO taking them to the park, zoo, grocery store, teaching them how to cook and giving them chores says everything, I think.

I can’t believe the last mom basically admitted that she just wants complete control over what her child sees 💀 you’re not supposed to say the quiet part out loud Amanda

LMAOOOO "mamaa?" "shhh" like hold on sweetie mommy has to film a tiktok
