Everything Katy says feels like she’s trying to hit the word count on an essay

Framing this as a feminist move while simultaneously ignoring the one actual female astronaut who overcame hardship is definitely a move

Just to bring attention to the real astronaut on this trip:

Amanda Nguyen was on this same space mission. The first Vietnamese woman in space. She studied at Harvard, MIT and NASA.She delayed her dreams of going to space after being SAd to fight for women’s rights. She got laws passed to help SA survivors get justice and then finally, years later, was able to live her dream of going to space, and spent what little time she was in space conducting research on women's health and plant pathology.

Unfortunately, this moment for her has been overshadowed by Katy Perry's presence on the ship, so I wanted to spread the word even in this small way.

She is the real astronaut <3

katy perry going to space and calling it a "first for women" is giving jojo siwa saying she invented gay pop

at 7:44 the fact she said 'STEM and math' just shows that she doesn't know anything about STEM considering it stands for Science Technology Engineering and Math

this whole story broke my heart because there was a very important person on that trip and she wasn’t covered AT ALL. Amanda Nguyen had not been to space since she was SA’d and had to step away from her dream for a while. This was her first trip back in space again and it was ruined by the Katy Perry coverage.

I'm convinced that Katy Perry believes that there are no other female astronauts before her and her ship is the first instance of women going to space 😭

Mistaking a track from 143 for a royalty-free piece of music has got to be the most brutal thing I've heard someone say about this album so far, and it wasn't even intentional.

fun little history fact, the first two women in space Valentina Tereshkova and Svetlana Savitskaya were soviet cosmonauts (now working in engineering and aviation)

I’m kind of surprised you didn’t mention how Katy has sued multiple elderly people for their property to the point where there’s legislation being made to help protect elderly people against predatory litigation, it’s named after her😂

Framing this whole thing as some sort of feminist venture is such a joke... rich people continue to be extremely out of touch

Imagine if she would have donated millions of dollars in scholarships to women studying aerospace engineering. That would have ACTUALLY helped inspire young girls and make a tangible difference for women in stem. But no. That would have made too much sense 😭

amanda nguyen actually has such an inspiring and beautiful story and im worried that her going on this dumbass mission is going to cheapen all of her accomplishments

8:16 ”there’s 6 of us, all women, it’s *historical*” sounds like math and engineering aren’t the only things she needs to study

I don’t think anyone has roasted Katy Perry’s new album better than Chad Chad unironically thinking it was a royalty free track

As a black woman in physics, this stunt was a complete slap in the face. My fellowship had to change its description and now is being phased out for having “DEI” language. My female colleagues from places like Peru and India are worried to say anything bad about the administration because they fear deportation. And yet Katy Perry thinks that this waste of money, materials, and time is the feminist break through we needed???

"To inspire so many people but specially young girls to go to space in the future"

That sounds like a modern "Let them eat cake"

You can really feel Chad's hate for Katy Perry, that pixie cut must have been BAD
