I just bought a 1.5 ton mini ex, and I’m looking to clear some utility routes, they are primarily covered with little 1-2 inch whips as the property was logged just a few years back. What method / attachments would you recommend for something like that? If you have a video up that alley, even better!

I really enjoy the excavator videos. The rhino preview is very intriguing, their smaller machines have a piston pump which seems like it may be a step up from the comparable rippas. I’ve been looking at an r10 with the Kubota engine mostly because of you but the rhinoceros rh13 gas looks like it may outwork the r10 for less money. Any thoughts? I think the shy10 arm is just a little too diminutive compared to the other two and it’s pretty narrow without expanding tracks

That looks like it would fit the backhoe of my LS MT125. That would have saved me a lot of time during some recent storm cleanup. Obviously would be better on a mini excavator but I can work with what I have.

Thanks Mike, keep making these videos they give me tons of ideas and how to use this kind of mini equipment. I've the RS06-3 that I bought this year and love it. But I'm looking at the Mini-excavator maybe another Rippa or possibly a Rhinoceros in 2027.

I definitely had ivy removal in mind when I got my R10. Not had chance to play with the rake yet, but otherwise getting ivy off the floor is almost impossible by any manual means.

Hei Mike and greetings from Norway. I have started to follow your videos with the interest of the Rippa R13 mini excavator, we have started to get these in Norway for sale now. Would you recommend this machine for a hobby gardner for cleaning up and some landscaping..? Still not to sure about the quality. 👍👍
