“He works very hard for his money and all I do all day is stay home and take care of his kids” made me so fucking angry for her

I feel so bad for women who are in loveless marriages where they get 20 bucks allowances. This is financial abuse.

The elites have made having children financially impossible for most Americans. Yet, they beg us to have children, then judge us when we struggle to raise them.

That was me. I was a Mormon SAHM, had no bank account. He gave me an envelope of cash. I woke run out of milk and not be able to buy more.

A man is NOT a plan ladies!

Before you get married, get a prenup.

Have that prenup state in LEGAL TERMS what you will get when you stay home with the kids.

If your partner is not OK with this, do not marry them.

If they actually want to support you they won't have a problem with putting it in writing.

Also write up what happens if cheating happens. Both ways. You cheat or he cheats.

A SAHM without income gets treated like an unpaid servant at best and an unemployed mooch at worst by loser men.

Make them put your parachute in writing.

women 60 years ago fought to let other women have their own account for money so complications like these doesn't happen

Men get such free labor so easily. Itz crazyh

Scariest thing is the second their husbands/BD decides to leave, they are screwed beyond belief. He can walk at anytime because they have the finances to.

I keep telling people, don't have that baby unless you yourself can afford the childcare or a nanny and possibly take care of the kids yourself as a single mom. We're not benefiting having these babies and child support is not getting paid.

If he cant(more like won’t) support you, why would you have a baby with them? It just doesn’t seem safe

Why isn't the provider, the husband giving them money? Stay at home mums are supposed to be paid by their provider partners.

35:38 I'm Mexican American & I'm not saying this is a "Mexican thing" like it is in Asian countries, but my mom said something similar. She mentioned that growing up in her small town, many families had women as the money managers bc women were seen as more responsible and less vulnerable to vices like drinking, gambling, and (other) women. My father would give mom his entire paycheck from the moment they were engaged so that she can begin managing finances & planning the wedding.

Yep “moved for her HUSBAND’S job” and that’s why I will stay single until I get the financial freedom my parents had. “A man is not a plan”

DON'T BECOME A SAHM. IDC HOW LONG YOU'VE KNOWN THAT MAN FOR. DO NOT DO IT. AT LEAST HAVE A PARTT-IME JOB OR SOME FORM OF INCOME. CASH BACK WITH HIS CARD. SOMETHING. THIS IS COMING FROM A SAHM WHO'S ABOUT TO BE DIVORCED AND SCREWED!!! I THOUGHT I KNEW MY HUSBAND

Why are these men telling these women that they can stay at home when they know they don't make enough?! They stay wanting a housewife but don't have housewife money. I wish tf I would.... these women need to strive for more and leave these broke men holding them back.

I've been saying for years that women should get paid to have children. If the patriarchal logic is that women need to have children to fill the economic need for labor and soldiers, then the patriarchy should be paying us to have them. If we can find billions per year for genocidal states, genocidal wars, ostentatious ballrooms, UFC fights in front of the White House, we can find 60k/yr for every woman who wants to have children.

That sounds like hell

And they call the child free selfish. Things we never would make to a human being. So IRRESPONSIBLE

I live in a country with government subsidized daycare and that is a game changer. Telling stay at home moms to get jobs in America without addressing the daycare cost doesn't work.

Staying at home without own income is a pipeline towards financial disaster. No one loves commute and jobs are rarely dream jobs, but jobs are essential to pay bills.  Mortgage and bills do not care for motherly love and bond with kids.
