i'm fr so obsessed with it. i have been drinking far too much of it. but it's for a good cause so 🤷🏼‍♀

You can't fix a relationship if you're the only one trying.

When my grandfather was about to pass and my mom flew out of state to say goodbye to him they made me do my dad's laundry because my dad didn't know how to use the washing machine.... he also called my mom while I was talking to her like last week asking her how to turn on the stove/oven. I am consistently shocked by how my dad can be so capable and so incapable at the same time.

"it was never about me being hard to love" 🥺

That.....that one hurt my heart 💔

I love how positive the women responding to each other were this time. I have a good time raging but this was refreshing

15:47 I checked and, as of 2024, toddler childcare for a full time nanny (so not an on-call nanny, the way the mom is) costs on average $858 per WEEK. And this man is throwing a tantrum over a $4.99 ball? Absolutely not, no, goodbye

Edited to add: I'm saying that he couldn't afford to pay her for even ONE of the jobs she does for him, so he's got a lot of nerve

Weaponized incompetence.

The "I was going to do that" guy reminds me of my brother. Today I asked him to clean his plates and trash off the living room table when he finished his pizza rolls. He ate in his room and was in there for like 20 minutes. It does not take that long to eat pizza rolls. Then my mom came into the living room and I was so embarrassed that I cleaned the table for him. When he came out he said he "was going to do it." Well guess what, I told him since I did it for him he had to sweep the living room. And he just stood there holding the broom teasing the cats instead of sweeping until I told him like 3 times to sweep.

the "Oh I was going to" guy's most baffling act here is literally stopping his trash run to go take a dump for 20 minutes. Like did he hold it all day beforehand and suddenly oops it was too much or? Because if I did that my roommates would ANNIHILATE my ass for the next week about it.

The first story hit me right in the feels. My ex would endlessly spend money on needless purchases - admitted during the divorce that it was to ensure we were always living paycheck to paycheck to keep financial control - and when I needed help, like after major surgery, told me "I don't see why my life should have to be affected by yours like that."

I hope she escapes.

My mom was a stay at home mom for my whole childhood and my dad would literally pay her a salary that they both discussed and agreed upon so that she could still have her own money to spend on the things she wanted on top of most of my dad's earnings going towards childcare and necessary things. I'm really grateful that they had and still have such a good and healthy relationship and that I was able to grow up seeing what a real partnership looks like

Your mom told you 'try it before you buy it' about marriage? I LOVE your mom, lol!

I grew up thinking couples therapy was a requirement for a marriage license

Dude. I find it a MIRACLE, that I managed to resist my mother's attempts to convince me no one (including her, for the most part) would ever love me, because I was overweight.
Even as a child, I knew that was ridiculous.
In middle school she'd ask, "don't you want to lose weight, so the boys would like you?"
And my immediate response was, "why would I want to DATE someone, who was EVER MEAN to me because of how I looked?"
The woman managed to destroy or exacerbate most of my mental health, but I am ridiculouslyproud, that, she didn't manage to destroy my self worth.

6:02 I have been begging my parents to split up for 16 years. They split when I was ten and I was like oh finally I don’t have to deal with all the arguments but then they got back together and I was fuming. I’ve always told them that I’d have had a happier childhood if they were separate and happy rather than together and miserable

im sorry, he can use her money for whatever he "needs" but they can hardly get anything more than bare necessities when she paid for the home they live in?????? girl when u get rid of him, just throw all his stuff outh the front

I have three boys(well, men now). I taught them how to cook, clean, and do their laundry. They are fully capable of taking responsibility for themselves and being a great partner to someone.

I taught myself how to do laundry when I was 7. I just decided to do it one day and read the directions on the soap box.

Taking out the trash is literally just moving it outside a few feet he literally took it out and moved it he just put it in the wrong location I don’t understand how people just can’t take out trash it is literally the easiest chore ever all you do is move stuff around 😭

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: if men can learn new skills for their job or hobbies, then they can learn how to do basic house work. If you can start your computer and do your job every day without your boss coming over to explicitly ask you to, why should your partner have to explicitly ask you to wash your plates every time you finish a meal?
