Thanks for covering.  I know the going thinking is this is all Jenova mimicking Aerith, but if you remember back to the OG, it wasn't until we bring the key of the ancients back to the capital near the end when we see what she actually was doing - praying to summon Holy.  This time, she just comes out with it at the end of Rebirth and Cloud just repeats it in this demo.  Plus, now both C and A are referring to her as actively praying, while in the OG it was all done...in the past.  As for the new portrayal of Zack in the past, perhaps an attempt to build a story that it was Cloud's fault he fell into the river?  Then they can ultimately contrast that later on to Cloud with how Zack died in CC?

Man this game looks incredible.  Thanks for covering !

I think it’s still possible we’ll see a little of Icicle Inn before the scene we see in this demo.  Cid references being grounded and I can’t imagine it’ll all off screen so I can see a scene where the plain is left at Icicle Inn for repairs.

I think the reason the region is grayed out in the other demo is that the weapons have emerged and the developers don’t want the player immediately going back to the crater when you’re not meant to return until much later.  We’ll still have the snowboarding mini game at the gold saucer.  Learning about Gast might be being moved to a different context in the story.

Cloud is holding his arm like that cause he is a huge fan of Vegeta.

I KNEW Cloud was losing it! I remember the scene in Rebirth where he thought he saved Aerith, but in reality, he didn't! Now he's thinking he's talking to her as if she's alive and I'm ALL IN FOR IT, especially when Square Enix finally reveals what really happened in the finale and tells us even more about my favorite flower girl!

I agree we're likely not starting at the Icicle Inn but I think it's more a matter of tone than anything else. Specifically, the tone of the demo is very psychological thriller-esque, building directly off Rebirth's ending with a highly unstable Cloud. So yeah.... probably best to postpone fun snowboarding time.

Still think we could cold open with at least part of the Ifalna & Gast stuff, even if only up to the birth of Aerith because Remake & Rebirth both feature Aerith in their openings & it feels right that Revelation does too. We could return to this flashback later in the game, with the party viewing it as old footage but going past where the opening got to

My theory is that it's all for the sake of cloud accepting the reunion later in the game. When worlds merge.

Giving cloud the illusion he wants makes cloud more keen to the world sephiroth wants.

As for aerith after the final battle in rebirth, one can assume that cloud broke reality in the beagle world because she survived and died in different worlds.

I have a feeling throughout the game the worlds will become more unstable as sephiroth continues to get closer to the reunion. Aerith will continue to talk to cloud but eventually she'll show up alive for a short period of time.

We'll see.

Aerith’s thing is yellow flowers which they’ve used often, feathers belong to soldiers, symbolizing their desire for freedom against the controlling destiny imparted onto them by Jenova.

The white feather that drops when Zack is dragging Cloud IMO is mainly to mark Zack’s time of death as seen in CC. It shows that in the Terrier world he instead lives on past that point (and Cloud consequently does not recover.)

What if the great glazer is how we get to the creator in the end game can't land otherwise maybe

6:40 Tifa is just a terrible friend.

Love this game. Love this channel. I think I'm at the point that I'm done watching any new gameplay that I'm not actually playing. Going to throw this video on mute and give you the view!

Can you turn off the fit costumes?

Hey, I would like if you would fix your Cam in one (or two different) corner instead of this hovering, sometimes it distracts me from what you are saying. Apart from this, I like to see you while you're speaking. 🙏

I feel like the new class system might take away from the theme of each character, im ok with it for the player character but for everyone else? nah!
