Dude, the whole Nirvana Unplugged is something special. If you haven’t seen the entire thing yet, I recommend you check it out front to end.

Unplugged pissed off the execs so bad. They wanted Nirvana to do all their hits, instead, they went up and performed covers 🤣🤣

He mentioned Lead Belly’s guitar for $500,000.  The sweater Kurt was wearing in this performance sold for $340,000.

To me the best unplugged concert of all time.

The moment Kurt distorts his voice (without any electronic help) is the most powerful thing ever. It gives me the shivers everytime.

His eyes. Thats intensity and emotion. He feels every part of his music. Thats the look in his eyes. It's his soul.

Kurt's guitar sold for $6,000,000...I think he surpassed his favorite performer. On this cold night in November, this wasn't just a song, but a direct question to his wife who he knew was cheating on him, the pain is glaring and soon wanted a divorce just months after. Chills forever...

You are not trippin. He just really felt that moment.

Man, that moment when he gasps and opens his eyes... It's one of those special moments in music that I can't recall a parallel with any other artist. I don't think I've seen a reactor appreciate that moment as much as I always have. <3

He didn't realize the audience was blown away & that was why they were so QUIET

This song is by Lead Belly (1888-1949). He could be considered one of the people who started it all. He was an African-American  who wrote and sang folk and blues. You should check out Irene, Goodnight or Looky Yonder/Black Betty. You could also listen to his version of this song too.

You're not tripping. That look is pretty famous among fans. Brother opened a wrist and bled all over the stage for us that day.

It really can't be overstated just how much Nirvana changed the face of music and culture when Nevermind came out. We were all there listening to hair metal and pop and some oldschool hip-hop and all of a sudden BOOM here's Nirvana doing something so completely different and amazing.

that's not possession, that's him, look close, you can see all the pain in his eyes right there

The whole Unplugged performance was legendary.  The whole show is worth a reaction.

The end when he opens his nearly ice blue eyes and takes the deep breath gives me chills EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It feels so powerful and vulnerable. Rip kurt 🥺💜🫶 i still have this performance on dvd and on cd. Love it.

I love how you caught the eyes! I never see anyone catch that on their first watch. It's great that you caught it!

Yeah, Kurt's not home right now. He's straight-up in another place. You can see it. He's not seeing the crowd. He's not seeing the room. He's in the pines, and his body is just a conduit.

Plateau, Man Who Sold The World, Lake of Fire..... All epic covers from this Unplugged performance

"In 1993 Nirvana performed a legendary MTV Unplugged, right before Cobain's tragic death. The guitar used in that iconic concert was a Martin D-18E acoustic. It sold at a recent auction for over six million dollars."

No matter how many times i see a reaction to this song I always get a cold shiver the moment kurt opens his eyes after that scream

One of the most powerful live performances you will ever see. When Kurt opens his eyes for the last notes, you can see deep into his soul and the pain inside - takes someone very special to channel that pain into a performance.
