"Me and Mogo, we stood right here...Mogo and I"

I believe the last scene when Hal gets the ball back is them showing that Hal didn't kill himself clearly showing he's not going to let go, Hal will break the legacy

For me as a new Father, this episode was very touching, I liked it!

I think there is a very specific and deliberate reason why the show is called "lanterns" and not "green lanterns".

I actually thought the actor that played Hal's dad was exceptional. If you watch closely he introduced some lovely subtle moments in the scene where his hidden depression rises to the surface. Watch closely. Small moments of sadness that he only shows when his son isn't looking at him.

This episode did make me love the slowness from the season

I suffer from severe depression. The reason we don’t show it is complicated. Firstly we don’t think anyone will care and secondly we think people will perceive us as weak.

I really don’t care who or how Hal died. This show has just done such a great job that I think it can give any answer or non answer and I will be content. Can’t say that for majority of shows

I know that pain as well. I had a 20 year old cousin who was severely diabetic. But he also was gay and only ever told a couple of people because he was so afraid his birth father wouldn’t love him if he “came out”. So he purposely stopped taking all his diabetes medication and let himself go into a diabetic coma and died in his sleep. It broke my aunt and I think about him all the time.

lanterns cold openings are fire, like short films themselves especially episode 7 and episode 3 , episode 3 opening hits different when john sr says he is afraid

This Episode was the best

the bit when hals dad said "you need to let go of the ball cause its exhausting" i loved that line i think it forshadowed his suicide

"Im not fearless because I'm brave, i'm fearless because im broken"

I don’t care if it’s a five episode special I need a prequel series so we can continue with Hal Jordan being played by Kyle Chandler

Next week episode better be 2 hrs.. 😂

I got the vibe of the dark opening scene from Dune Part 2, (with guys in the ani-grav tech), when I saw Antaan's planet.

The reason I am convinced Hal is dead is they actually have written themselves into a perfect situation with the Hal-ogram;  John has "good Hal" with him on-demand, and they can use him or not as the story demands.

I might be completely wrong about this. But here's my theory.

There's a parallel between how possessive Hal was of the ball as a kid and how posessive Hal was of the ring as an adult.

Towards the end of the episode we saw young Hal go back to get the ball again. I think this is what adult Hal was doing.

There's a very likely theory going around that Sinestro is forming the 'Yellow Lanterns'. The atmosphere of fear in the planet seems right for this being the birthplace of Yellow lanterns.

And i think Hal was helping Sinestro forge the yellow ring.

He may have helped Sinestro escape. But it's certainly true that he was in contact with Sinestro.

Can't wait for the finale but at the same time, I am sad that it's the final episode. I want season 2 as soon as possible. 😂

I feel like the last 3 eps aren't a murder mystery but Hal’s epilogue and redemption arc. I have a feeling his death will turn out to be a heroic self-sacrifice, not just homicide.
I don't think Sinestro is a villian in this show at all. He probably was betrayed by the Guardians. He's a hero, but just like Hal, everyone hates him and views him as a villain. And Hal broke him out to give him a second chance.
If Hal is dead i think those alien dudes killed him because they were after Noah. To stop them from destroying the city, Hal pretended to be him like Macon did a few episodes ago. By doing that, he saved both the city and the kid.
Also, if Guy actually survives the next Superman movie, he’ll almost certainly be one of the main leads in the series. Who says a show can't have three main characters?
